Hankook’s new fitment order covers options for both summer and winter tires for the current BMW X3.

Hankook Tire has secured another fitment order with German luxury auto manufacturer BMW, outfitting its SUV X3 model with its Ventus S1 evoin 225/60R18 104W XL (standard) and winter I*cept evo2 in 225/60R18 104H XL.  The ultra-high premium performance tires are versatile and guarantee high steering precision that provides drivers with both the comfort and the agility needed for a sportier vehicle.

Hankook previously supplied Original Equipment tires for the flagship BMW 7 series. The first BMW X3 equipped with Ventus tires hit the road in November 2017. The latest round of tires are for the third BMW X3 generation. Similar to the 7 series, the new model offers both summer and winter tires as original equipment, designed to provide optimum support for the driving dynamics of the BMW X3.

The Ventus is being supplied as an ultra-high-performance tire in an SUV version and has been specifically designed to guarantee the highest steering precision. The tire is focused on good track performance and low rolling resistance. This premium tire model has been specifically designed for the BMW X3 and, with reduced rolling resistance and increased stability thanks to a multi-layer tread structure, contributes to the brand’s typical driving dynamics while offering high performance without compromising comfort.

The new Ventus S1 Evo2 tire also features the brand’s heat resistance technology comprised of a hybrid textile which enables the tire to cope with high temperatures when exposed to speeds up to 270 km/h. This allows for greater elasticity of the tire’s contact area while a highly dispersible nano-silica compound is used to prevent hardening of the tire at low temperatures. Supplementing the safety features of the BMW X3 while guaranteeing better grip during the winter seasons and wet roads, the Korean company ensured that comfort and durability were still a top priority.
