Yokohama brand ambassador Jean-Sebastien Sauriol will be on track this coming weekend in upstate New York, as the American Endurance Racing series visits the fabled Watkins Glen International for a pair of 9-hour races.
Sauriol, from Saint-Sauveur, Quebec, will join forces with North Carolina natives Preston Brown (Chapel Hill), John C. Forbes (Stanley) and Max Wobbles (Mooresville) in the Loose Cannon Racing Porsche 944 based out of Denver, North Carolina.
Each 9-hour race is expected to add about 1,000 km to odometer of the Denver, NC-based Porsche coupe, as it twirls around the 11-turn, 3.4-mile (5.43-km) Grand Prix Course, and that’s where the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R summer tires will undoubtedly prove their worth.
“It’s a treat to race at the Glen, an iconic track rich in Formula 1 history. Past experience with the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R tire shows that its stiff sidewall will keep it responsive on the fast turns of this track,” says Sauriol.
The American Endurance Racing series features production-based closed wheel cars running on US Department of Transport (US DOT) tires — the same aftermarket performance tires consumers can purchase to put on their everyday drivers.
