The Hakkapeliitta 44 winter tire is the newest top-of-the-line product from Nokian.
Finnish company, Nokian Tyres has engineered a product specifically for Arctic Trucks. The Hakkapeliitta 44 is especially tailored for use by these special expedition vehicles, excelling in both grip and durability.
Each tires weighs a whopping 70 kg, and boasts a diameter of over a metre. Despite its robust size, Nokian says, the tire moves through deep snow with ease.
“The middle section of the tread pattern features very sharp V-shaped angles that are optimized for cleaning the grooves from snow and slush,” says Kalle Kaivonen, R&D Manager from Nokian Heavy Tyres. “The width of the tread as well as the tire’s maximal airspace both guarantee that the tire moves efficiently even on a soft surface. Snow poses no challenge for Nokian Hakkapeliitta 44.”
The tire comes in size LT475/70 R17, has a tread depth of 18 mm, and is available exclusively through Arctic Trucks.
