Yokohama Tire Canada is the official tire in the newly-established Ice Driving Canada program at Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec.

Under the tutelage of professional racing driver and long-time driving instructor Jean-Sebastien Sauriol, the Ice Driving Canada program will take to the ice of Baie Major on Lac des Sables in instruction Porsche Boxster and Subaru WRX STI models, all shod with Yokohama W.drive V905 winter tires.

“We are thrilled to be part of this unique North American program, which is inspired from Scandinavian driving initiatives,” said Diana Colosimo, Brand Development Manager for Yokohama Tire Canada. “We can’t think of a better way to showcase the safety and sure-footedness of our W.drive winter tires to drivers from all walks of life than through a driving instruction program that aims to improve car-control skills under the most adverse conditions.”

The W.drive V905 delivers balanced winter traction thanks to its increased edge effect and all-new compound.

“A winter defensive driving course is becoming a must-do for drivers of all abilities because of the alarming rate of crashes,” said Sauriol, Ice Driving Canada founder and chief instructor. “Our clientele will not only discover the grip offered by the Yokohama W.drive tires, but also the safety and enjoyment of winter driving, and the outdoor activities offered in this beautiful area. Everybody wins!”
