Due to a change in FIA regulations, Pirelli has developed new tires for the coming season.

The entire range of Pirelli’s new wider Formula 1 tires were on display at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The front tire has grown wider by 60 mm, going from 245 to 305 mm. The rear tire grows by 80 mm, from 325 to 405 mm. As a result, the 2017 tires are around 25% wider than the current tires.

The new 2017 slick tire measurements are:
•  305/670-13 at the front,
•  405/670-13 at the back.

The Cinturato intermediate tires will have a diameter of 675 mm, while the Cinturato full wet ties will have a diameter of 680 mm.

The rim size remains unchanged at 13-inch.
