The following new functionality and optimizations have been added to the latest software version:

  • Additions to European vehicle coverage: The company has added thousands of OE functions for Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen
  • Quick-Scan: The new version makes it possible to complete full system DTC scans in an average of less that 60 seconds. For several year, make and models, it is also possible to do the scans in 30 seconds or less.
  • FCA Secure Gateway: Bosch manufactured diagnostic tools have been allowed secure access by FCA to SGW module present in several 2018 and newer FCA vehicles.

Additionally, Bosch offers free access to Repair-Source, as with the previous versions. An on-tool vehicle service and repair information library is built into the ADS 4.0 version as well. With this, technicians will be able to access OE wiring diagrams, maintenance schedules, OEM service procedures for AC/heater, engine, airbag, among other things. The additional European coverage, Quick-Scan and FCA Secure Gateway unlock software updates can also be used with OTC Encore and Evolve platforms.
