CARDONE Industries has announced that its remanufactured electronic power steering (EPS) product coverage has been increased.

The company states that as the transition from hydraulic power steering to EPS is catching up, the company’s expansion of coverage is aimed at meeting and exceeding market demand.

“With the increase of EPS systems in new vehicles over the years, CARDONE has aligned with that demand and is poised to lead the aftermarket in this category,” says Mark Mooberry, Senior Director of Product Management at CARDONE. “CARDONE is better equipped to support the EPS market because our products are backed by a 20-year history of competency in electronics remanufacturing”.

The company explains that the shift in the automotive market from hydraulic power steering to EPS was driven by the need for fuel efficiency.

“CARDONE’s five decades of remanufacturing and electronics expertise has helped lay the foundation to support enhanced technologies like Park Assist, Lane Departure Systems and fully autonomous vehicles,” says Mike Carr, Chief Executive Officer at CARDONE.

CARDONE launched EPS in 2016, having foreseen a growth in demand early on. Currently, the company’s EPS coverage includes more than 50 high-demand part numbers, including exclusive, full-range coverage on all Ford F-150s from 2016. Rack-Assist, Column-Assist and Electro-Hydraulic-Assist Racks are also available from CARDONE, with the company offering 3-year/36,000 mile warranty coverage on all of them.

CARDONE will be showcasing its EPS product line at AAPEX 2019 at booth number 3826. The company’s ASE Certified staff will also be providing live EPS technology demonstrations at the event.
