LIQUI MOLY is set to debut three new engine oils—one for latest BMW models, another for older BMWs and a third low viscosity oil for Japanese cars.

All three oils will be unveiled and showcased at both the AAPEX and SEMA Show this November in Las Vegas. The company will be present at stand numbers 33021 at AAPEX and stand number 50719 at the SEMA Show.

LIQUI MOLY’s Top Tec 6600 0W-20 will have the newest BMW approval Longlife-17 FE+. As explained by the company, the latest gasoline engine BMWs except the M series can use this type of oil. Keeping up with current industry trends of lower viscosity oil for lower fuel consumption and emissions, this oil is created with a viscosity of 0W-20. LIQUI Moly states in a release that its Top Tec 6600 0W-20 will also have the newest Mercedes approval MB 229.71, besides meeting the requirements for Volvo approval VCC RBS0-2AE and API SN Plus + RC.

This world debut of this oil will be at the two November events. “This will be the first time that a new oil for a German model has not been launched first in Germany,” says Sebastian Zelger, Director LIQUI MOLY USA. “Top Tec 6600 is a good choice for workshops that service the latest BMW and Mercedes models. They can use one oil for both brands.”

LIQUI MOLY has created its Special Tec B FE 5W-30 specifically for older gasoline engine BMW models from 2002 that do not contain particle filters. The oil has been developed to conform to API SL requirements and carries BMW approval Longlife-01 FE.

LIQUI MOLY’s Special Tec AA 0W-16 is the third new product slated for an AAPex and SEMA debut. “It is the lowest viscosity oil that we have launched to date,” says Sebastian Zelger. It is mainly Japanese car manufacturers that stipulate a viscosity of 0W-16. It is very uncommon outside of Japan. However, this is changing slowly. “0W-16 oils are still very much a niche product but, technologically, they are very interesting,” explains Zelger. “This is why we are already producing it, even though the revenue earning potential is still low.”

Developed as a suitable option for select models of Honda, Lexus, Suzuki and Toyota, the Special Tec AA 0W-16 is engineered to meet the requirements for API SN Plus + RC and ILSAC GF-5.

Besides the new products, the company will also be relaunching its complete Special Tec AA product line. As explained by LIQUI MOLY, this product line contains products that have been created specifically for American and Asian cars. The relaunched lineup will consist of “improved, top-performing recipes and a new design”.

“We have the right oil for nearly every car, whether it is a European import, a domestic car or an Asian model,” notes Zelger.
