CRC Industries has announced the release of its new bioremediating parts washer—the CRC SmartWasher BenchtopPRO.

As explained by the company, this new parts washer has been designed to handle tough cleaning jobs, eliminating the need to use harmful solvents. Since the parts washer is portable and can be stored in flat and upright positions, it is suitable for use even in small repair facilities and can be easily moved around the shop. The washer is also equipped with a recirculating pump that aids in transferring cleaning fluid to a valve-controlled flow-through brush and a lid that can be flipped out and used as a built-in drying tray.

According to CRC, its new self-contained bioremediating BenchtopPRO parts washer is designed to be as effective as those that use solvents. However, it is much less harmful for the users and the environment, since it is non-toxic, non-flammable and does not cause irritation to the skin. CRC’s proprietary water-based degreasing solution BT5 helps in cleaning parts in this washer. Additionally, MicroPRO Packs are added to the solution that contain naturally-occurring microorganisms aid in breaking down and converting oil, grease and carbon-based contaminants into water and carbon dioxide. The degreasing solution can be reused multiple times since the process of remediation makes the washer a self-cleaning system.

CRC states that Motor magazine featured the SmartWasher BenchtopPRO on its list of Top 20 Tools for 2019. The BenchtopPRO has been designed for a variety of applications such as automotive, motorcycle and motorsports maintenance and repairs, among other things.
