The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has announced the signing of its newest shareholder member, IWI Motor Parts, effective April 1, 2019.

The newest shareholder member is located in Dubuque, Iowa.

“We are tremendously excited to welcome IWI Motor Parts as our newest affiliate,” says John R. Washbish, President and CEO of the Alliance. “IWI’s focus on family and commitment to service makes it a great fit for the Alliance.”

Founded in 1962, IWI’s name and logo are based on the states in the U.S. from which it operates—Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. The now second generation family business started off in a family station wagon that made the rounds of local gas stations offering filters, plugs and other engine components for sale. IWI Motor Parts currently boasts around 240 employees in the Tri-state area and operates 13 warehouses and a corporate headquarters. The focus of the company has always been on providing quality OEM parts to the aftermarket and local car dealers.

“IWI management is looking forward to becoming a member of the Alliance,” says TJ Faley, President of IWI Motor Parts. “The Alliance has long had a reputation for being the best buying group in the aftermarket. The Alliance integrity, honesty, and quality are characteristics we admire. IWI’s philosophy will align perfect with the Alliance Motto ‘Service is the difference, we get it’.”

Faley also adds that IWI will continue to look for opportunities that are contiguous to its existing reach. He looks forward to the challenges ahead and is highly excited about the changes to the automotive aftermarket.
