Arnott has announced the release of new and OE remanufactured rear shocks and remanufactured front OE air struts for several Mercedes E-Class, CLS-Class and R-Class vehicles.

New and OE remanufactured rear shocks for Mercedes E-Class, CLS-Class and R-Class:

SK-3012, the Arnott-engineered aftermarket rear shock, is designed for the third generation E-Class (W211 chassis) and first generation CLS-Class (W219 chassis), both with AIRMATIC and with ADS, including AMG models.

Arnott’s SK-3039 is a new rear shock designed for the 2003-2009 Mercedes E-Class (W211 chassis) and 2005-2011 CLS-Class (W219 chassis) without ADS or AIRMATIC and with or without Rear Load Levelling, excluding AMG models.

The new Arnott shocks are designed to bypass the aging and possibly problematic Adaptive Damping System (ADS) on these older models.  A coil resister included in the shocks plugs in to the vehicle’s electrical system to eliminate any suspension dashboard warning lights. The shocks, which fit both the left and right side of the applications, also contain a custom-valved and fully road-tested damper to ensure a good ride-experience. The shocks also feature a new polyurethane bump stop, new top and bottom mounts, and a protective dust boot.

The SK-3199 is an Arnott-remanufactured OE rear shock for the 2003-2009 Mercedes E-Class (W211 chassis) and 2005-2011 CLS-Class (W219 chassis) AMG models with AIRMATIC and ADS and without 4MATIC.  Arnott engineers inspect, steam clean, and spin blast the remanufactured rear OE shocks to bare metal before recharging them with new high-performance shock oil. They replace the damaged components, such as the piston, rod guides and seal pack before painting them with corrosion inhibiting paint. Arnott performs dyno and functional tests with the shock and damping coil to confirm OE performance.

The new and remanufactured rear shocks released are fully compatible the OE rear air spring as well as Arnott’s rear air spring for the E-Class, making the installation process quicker and easier.

Arnott has also launched remanufactured OE rear shocks for the Mercedes R-Class (W251 chassis) with AIRMATIC and ADS. The SK-3262 is a remanufactured OE rear shock absorber for the left or right side of the 2006-2013 Mercedes R-Class (W251 chassis) with ADS and AIRMATIC fitting vehicles with 4MATIC or rear wheel drive, excluding AMG models.

Remanufactured OE front air struts for Mercedes E-Class and CLS-Class:

Additionally, Arnott has also introduced remanufactured OE front air struts for the 2010-2016 Mercedes E-Class (W212 chassis) and 2012-2017 CLS-Class (W218 chassis).

The AS-3237 (right) and AS-3238 (left) are fully remanufactured OE front air struts for the 2010-2016 Mercedes E-Class (W212 chassis) and 2012-2017 CLS-Class (W218 chassis), both with 4MATIC, AIRMATIC and ADS, including AMG models.

As with the remanufactured OE rear shocks, Arnott inspects, disassembles, steam cleans, and spin blasts the OE struts to bare metal before painting them with corrosion inhibiting paint. The Arnott remanufactured strut includes new high-quality tier 1 components such as a ContiTech multi-ply rubber air bladder, heavy duty crimping rings, O-rings, new air line fitting and dust boot to protect the air sleeve. Remanufactured in the U.S., Arnott designs and tests the struts to ensure that they are compatible with the vehicle’s semi-active damping and auto levelling suspension controls.
