New Flank Drive Socket System From Snap-On

Autosphere » Mechanical » New Flank Drive Socket System From Snap-On

Snap-on has introduced its first new socket system since 1965.

Snap-on says it has taken its patented Flank Drive system and made it better. The new Flank Drive Xtra (FDX) offers more turning power, a more secure fastener engagement and greater efficiency.

Snap-on claims the new angled contour allows the socket to grip damaged fasteners more closely for 50 percent more turning power. In addition, the upgraded shape allows for a better grip and more turning power for shallow-headed fasteners and fasteners with limited top clearance.
