Petro-Canada’s SUPREME Synthetic 0W-16 motor oil meets the needs of newer engines requiring an SAE 0W-16 grade oil that is API licensed.

Meeting the latest API SN Plus, SN Resource Conserving, and SN standards, SUPREME Synthetic motor oils deliver exceptional resistance to thermal breakdown and outstanding low-temperature fluidity, as well as superior protection against engine wear and deposit formation.

Petro-Canada says SUPREME Synthetic 0W-16 motor oil also helps prevent harmful damage caused by engine ‘knocking’ from Low-Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) events in gasoline direct-injection engines, including those with turbochargers.

“We’re excited to be launching the latest premium oil to the SUPREME product line, which offers vehicle owners additional fuel economy savings when compared to oils with a higher viscosity, such as 0W-20 or 5W-30,” said Tony Weatherill, Vice President, Global Marketing, Research & Development.  “With no compromise on engine protection or the oil’s ability to operate in some of the toughest conditions, the SUPREME Synthetic 0W-16 motor oil meets the most stringent specifications for the leading car manufacturers’ latest engines.”
