Founder and President of Groupe Del Vasto, John Del Vasto announced he was stepping down as President and has chosen Mauro Cifelli as his successor.

“My priority over the years has been to assemble a strong leadership team to drive growth and ensure continuity. The nomination of Mauro to the position of President and CEO is the result of a planned and deliberate transition involving the Board of Directors and our HR Committee,” said John Del Vasto.

Cifelli has been with Groupe Del Vasto since 1994 and his most recent role was Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Over the past 24 years, he has played a pivotal role within the organization. His inspiring leadership, recognized management skills and in-depth knowledge of our industry will serve him well in this position,” explained Mr. Del Vasto.

Mauro has served as Chair of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada at both the Provincial and National and was most recently appointed Chairman of the Governing Council of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association representing warehouse distributors’ interests across North America.

In his new function as President and CEO, Cifelli will be working in close collaboration with the members of the Board of Directors and the senior management team. Together, they will be responsible for formulating, communicating and implementing the organization’s strategic plan that guides the direction of the business.

John Del Vasto will transition to Chairman of the Board of Directors for Groupe Del Vasto and will continue to provide guidance and support to the President and the senior management team.
