The AIA Women’s Conference, June 15-16 at Blue Mountain Resort near Collingwood, Ont. was a fun and learning event.

Ninety-six women attended and were rewarded with a great line-up of speakers, a fabulous dinner the first evening and a great time networking and meeting other women in our industry.

Rhonda Waters was keynote speaker and dove right into her topic—‘Human Energy’ and how it played out for us. She was followed by Shari Graydon who gave us four strategies to use as women in a predominately male industry. France Daviault talked about ‘Mentoring Matters’ and asked us whether we were mentors or mentees! Shoana Prasad put us all through a ‘test’ of who we were in business and showed us the choices we could make.

Ron Fellows, Canadian race car champion told us about his racing career and what he had to overcome to ‘finish first.’ Today he helps mentor the next generation of Canadians racers with his youth karting programs. Ron took some time after the event to pose for photos and answer questions.

All in all… another great Women’s Conference!
