On May 21, the #04 Spectra Premium/Bernier Crepeau/Groupe Bellemare/MIA Dodge Challenger stock car was put through its paces during the first NASCAR Pinty’s Series race of the year.
Despite inclement weather conditions at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, the car, piloted by Jean-Francois Dumoulin, performed well throughout the race.
Starting from 12th place on the grid, Dumoulin muscled his way through the field, running as high as fourth place, despite having to contend with worsening track conditions and running on slick tires.
Despite ultimately finishing in seventh, Dumoulin said he was pleased with the car’s performance and its potential, including the new Spectra Premium NSCR 100 radiator.
We’re quite proud of the team’s accomplishments this weekend,” said Dumoulin. “The car performed well, and the NSCR 100 Spectra Premium radiator was very efficient throughout the race. On the second-to-last re-start, we made the decision to stay with slick tires.
However, the rain intensified, and the water accumulation on the track made racing difficult for the last few laps. Seventh place is a very encouraging start to the season. It’s the first time I got to participate in the NASCAR Pinty’s championship, and everything is being done to ensure our success.”
