On May 18, members of Canada’s automotive aftermarket will take to the Iceland Arena in Mississauga, Ont. once again for the annual Slapshots for a Cause hockey tournament.
This now institutional event sees four teams of aftermarket professionals battle it out on the ice, all in the name of charity. Besides getting to put their hockey skills to the test, it also provides an opportunity to raise a significant amount funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.
In 2016, Slapshots for a Cause raised $9,000 in one day, resulting in a total of $185,000 having been contributed to cancer research.
