On April 20, Uni-Select hosted its annual Supplier Information Session and Supplier Awards.

The event kicked off with a supplier trade show at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton, Ont. Then it was on to the seminar—Best Practices & Techniques on Selling Skill—by the popular Norm Rose. Whether you were on the counter, inside sales or outside sales, Rose presented something that everyone could take away and use. Everyone left the seminar with something they could use in their daily business. Then it was back to the trade show.

After a sumptuous dinner, the Supplier Awards were presented. Milestone Awards were presented to member jobbers Bolton Auto, West Lorne Auto and C&S Auto Parts.

In the Outstanding Sales Growth for 2016, there were a number of winners: 77 Auto Parts; Davis Auto Electric; Forest Automotive; Gard-X Automotive; Holloway Automotive; Hamilton Discount Auto Parts; Parry Sound Auto Parts; Treschak Enterprises; Venus Auto Parts and Whitelaw Automotive.

Then it was on to the Supplier Awards: The Top Suppliers for 2016 were Blue Streak-Hygrade Motor Products; FRAM, Kleen-flo; NGK; Prestone; SKF; Spectra-Premium and Total Lubricants Canada. The Special Category winners were PPG Canada in the PBE sector and the Tools Equipment award went to Sure Werx. The Top Sales Reps for 2016 were Dave Robinson, Dorman Products; Duarte Pacheo, Brake Parts, and John McArthur, WIX Filters.

Jamaican music by two Uni-Select employees was played before and during the dinner, while the Jamaican trip video ran to show highlights of the next Uni-Select Ontario trip to Jamaica. [wds id=”532″]
