Specialty Sales & Marketing (SS&M) recently held its National Sales Meeting at the White Oaks Resort and Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
And to top it off, SS&M also celebrated its 35th Anniversary! Specialty Sales was originated by Don Chase, who eventually sold to John Vanstone who then teamed up with Ken Coulter with Coulter going on to become current President/Owner of SS&M.
During the meeting, internal presentations were made, plus a customer presentation. Then it was time for the keynote speaker, Donald Cooper… who was dynamic, funny, and full of business insights for the SS&M team.
Six suppliers joined the group and presented small group rapid training sessions before everyone travelled into Niagara Falls to participate in an Escape Room team building challenge. That evening brought forth a gala dinner and awards, at which time the team was joined by John Vanstone.
The most coveted awards of the night went to Lucky Kooner who was proclaimed the 2016 Automotive Salesperson of the Year and Darcy Arbuthnot, who was the 2016 Heavy Duty Salesperson of the Year Award recipient. As well as celebrating the anniversary and awards, the SS&M group also reflected on a huge loss to their team this year as Territory Manager, Garret Broer passed away in August. He would have celebrated 25 years with SS&M this year.
Other team members were also acclaimed for their years with SS&M: celebrating 20 years—Tom Dunn, 25 Years—Sherri Langfield, Rick Zardo, Denis Turcotte and 30 Years—Rob Vatcher.
