BDS has introduced a full line of suspension lifts for the 2015-2016 Ford F-150 2WD applications. These kits are based off the tried and true systems for the 4WD trucks, now packaged specifically for the 2WD trucks. Kits include:
2.5″ Leveling Kit: These 2.5″ leveling kits are designed to eliminate the factory rake while improving the trucks all-around performance and allowing larger wheels and tires to be installed. The kit integrates a new top mounted strut spacer in combination with a pre-load spacer to raise the front end while improving the handling and stability. This 2-piece strut spacer system allows the suspension to fully cycle through wheel travel without maxing out the upper ball joints as is the case with taller 1-piece strut spacer kits on the market. An optional 1″ rear block kit and your choice of BDS NX2 or FOX 2.0 rear shocks are available. This kit allows for up to 35″ tires to be installed.
4″ and 6″ IFS Lift Kits: These new high clearance IFS lift kits are engineered to premium standards, using quality materials built in the U.S. The kit offers a smooth ride and reliable on-road handling coupled with impressive off-road performance and clearance for larger tires. The 4″ and 6″ systems utilize a pair of one-piece laser cut 1/4″ steel crossmembers, CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles, crossmember support braces, sway bar relocation brackets, new alignment cam bolts and upper strut mount spacers to retain the OE ride quality and correct the suspension geometry. In the rear an offset pin lift block and u-bolt kit is used in place of the factory block to recenter the axle within the wheelwell and level the stance. Rear brake line extensions and your choice of rear BDS NX2-series or FOX 2.0 performance gas shocks round out these kits. The 4″ system allows for up to 35″ tires to be installed while the 6″ system fits up to 37″ tires. These lift kits have been designed, tested, and independently confirmed to integrate flawlessly with the new electronic stability control (ESC) systems and meet FMVSS No.126 compliance safety standards.
4″ and 6″ Performance Coilover Systems: The 4″ and 6″ performance coilover systems bring together the safety and capability of the BDS high clearance IFS lift kit with the high performance of FOX factory series 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers and rear Fox 2.0 IFP shocks for true blend of on-road comfort and off-road performance. These systems include all the components of the standard 4″ or 6″ IFS systems with heavy-duty high clearance crossmember, ductile iron steering knuckles, crossmember braces, sway bar relocation, and more. In place of top mounted strut spacers and rear BDS NX2 series shocks these systems use FOX factory series 2.5 front coilovers and rear 2.0 IFP gas shocks for exceptional performance and ride quality on any terrain.
The FOX factory series 2.5 remote reservoir coilovers come pre-tuned with Eibach coil springs for high-speed off-road performance with ride height preset for 4″ or 6″ of lift right out of the box. These coilovers are a bolt in replacement for the factory struts making installation a breeze. The FOX 2.5 coilovers feature:
- Smooth-bore, clear coated, zinc plated alloy body
- Black anodized 6061-T6 billet aluminum mounting components
- 7/8″ hard chrome plated heat treated alloy steel shaft
- High flow piston design with specially formulated race oil
- External reservoir separates shock oil from high-pressure nitrogen
- Easy bolt-on installation, coil spring preload set for proper ride height out of the box
4″ & 6″ DSC Coilover Systems: These systems add FOX 2.5 factory series coilovers with remote DSC (dual speed compression) adjustment allowing enthusiasts to dial in the truck’s performance to any terrain, on or off road. The coilovers come ready to bolt in and tuned for optimum performance. They are tailored specifically to work with the BDS high clearance lift system. The DSC systems bring added flexibility in adjusting the ride quality to soak up the harsh unpredictable terrain off-road while still providing a plush ride on pavement. The DSC has 12 adjustment points for the high speed compression as well as 10 adjustment points for the low speed compression allowing you to make large or small changes to further improve your performance. Adjustments can be made by simply twisting the “blue” high speed and “gold” low speed compression knobs located on the end of the remote reservoir of the FOX 2.5 coilovers. No tools or shop adjustments are needed, allowing the suspension to be tuned while out on the trail. Along with DSC coilovers these kits come standard with FOX 2.0 IFP performance gas shocks in the rear. These components combined with the tried and true BDS IFS lift system result in an extremely comprehensive suspension offering for late-model Ford F-150 trucks.
