The HELLA LED Light Bar 470 uses an innovative ceramic-based polymer for its low weight plastic body.

The HELLA LED Light Bar 470, which was officially launched at the 2016 SEMA show, combines powerful LED lighting with a sleek, aerodynamic profile. The 16 high-performance LEDs combine to produce 166,000-candela power while consuming only 35 W of power.

The housing on the HELLA Light Bar 470 is made from a lightweight ceramic-based polymer which resists corrosion. Weighing only 1 kilo, it is hermetically sealed and submersible. The LED Light Bar is designed for off-road truck and SUV applications.

“We worked closely with Canadian authorities for over 6 months to make sure the product complies with the standards in place and can be legally mounted as accessory lighting,ˮ explained Alfredo de la Vega, HELLA Vice President Marketing and Product Management. “This is our first product made from a ceramic-based polymer.ˮ

The HELLA Light Bar 470 will be available in the first quarter of 2017.
