Les grandes voitures et les VUS puissants, qu’ils soient \u00e9lectriques ou hybrides, sont beaucoup plus lourds que les v\u00e9hicules conventionnels. En m\u00eame temps, ces mod\u00e8les plus lourds offrent peu de possibilit\u00e9s pour installer des pneus plus grands avec des capacit\u00e9s de charge plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 cette situation, Continental fabrique actuellement le premier pneu de tourisme dot\u00e9 du nouvel indice de charge \u00ab HL \u00bb. Gonfl\u00e9s \u00e0 la m\u00eame pression, ces pneus ont une capacit\u00e9 de charge plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que ceux construits selon l’ancienne norme XL.<\/p>\n

Sur le flanc, les produits ayant la nouvelle capacit\u00e9 de charge maximale affichent le code HL avant la taille, par exemple \u00ab HL 245\/40 R 19 101 Y XL \u00bb. La capacit\u00e9 de charge de ce pneu HL s’\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 825 kg (indice de charge 101), ce qui \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 une augmentation de 10 % par rapport \u00e0 la norme XL bien connue de 750 kg (indice de charge 98).<\/p>\n

Les pneus tourisme de cette taille construits selon la norme SL, qui suffisent \u00e0 de nombreux v\u00e9hicules de milieu de gamme, peuvent supporter une charge maximale de 670 kg (indice de charge 94). Les pneus au nouveau standard disposent ainsi de pr\u00e8s de 25 % de capacit\u00e9 de charge en plus.\u00a0 \u00c0 l’avenir, Continental s’attend \u00e0 une demande croissante de la part des constructeurs pour des pneus avec le nouveau code HL<\/p>\n

Pour pouvoir rehausser la capacit\u00e9 de charge tout en r\u00e9pondant aux exigences des clients, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes modifications de la structure du pneu et du m\u00e9lange de gomme. \u00ab Nous parlons ici de conflits d\u2019objectifs qu\u2019il a fallu r\u00e9soudre \u00e0 un niveau tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9 \u00bb, explique Stefan Habicht, chef du projet de d\u00e9veloppement de ces pneus chez Continental.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Au niveau de la structure, nous avons renforc\u00e9 le bourrelet et am\u00e9lior\u00e9 le contour du pneu afin de r\u00e9duire les bruits de roulement. Nous avons \u00e9galement optimis\u00e9 le m\u00e9lange de gomme destin\u00e9 \u00e0 la bande de roulement. Il a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 possible d\u2019atteindre une r\u00e9sistance minime au roulement, d\u2019assurer une tenue de route pr\u00e9cise et de maintenir la performance kilom\u00e9trique au niveau \u00e9lev\u00e9 usuel. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Continental fabrique actuellement les premiers pneus dot\u00e9s du nouveau standard \u00ab HL \u00bb et destin\u00e9s \u00e0 des v\u00e9hicules neufs. Ces pneus seront \u00e9galement propos\u00e9s comme pneus de rechange.<\/p>\n
