Lanc\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019origine au Royaume-Uni, Fuelservice permet aux conducteurs \u00e0 mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite de contacter les stations-service participantes au moyen de leur t\u00e9l\u00e9phone intelligent et de demander l\u2019aide des pr\u00e9pos\u00e9s avant leur arriv\u00e9e sur place.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019application a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduite au Canada pour un essai pilote, gr\u00e2ce aux efforts de Barry Munro, directeur du d\u00e9veloppement de la Canadian Spinal Research Organization (CSRO), ainsi que d\u2019Eddie Rice et de la Canadian Coalition for Mobility Challenged Drivers. Le projet pilote a vu Fuelservice faire \u00e9quipe avec les stations-service Shell participantes pour fournir un acc\u00e8s aux automobilistes handicap\u00e9s et s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 tr\u00e8s fructueux.<\/p>\n<p>Selon M. Munro, environ 10 % des automobilistes canadiens souffrent d\u2019une forme de handicap physique et doivent subir des probl\u00e8mes de mobilit\u00e9 au quotidien.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd\u2019hui, Fuelservice s\u2019est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 \u00e0 partir des trois plus grandes villes du pays, Toronto, Montr\u00e9al et Vancouver, et depuis septembre, il est disponible d\u2019un oc\u00e9an \u00e0 l\u2019autre, offrant aux conducteurs handicap\u00e9s l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 plus de 1300 stations-service.<\/p>\n<p>Le Canada est la premi\u00e8re r\u00e9gion d\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord \u00e0 utiliser l\u2019application, mais M.\u00a0Munro affirme qu\u2019elle va s\u2019\u00e9tendre aux \u00c9tats-Unis, offrant aux automobilistes \u00e0 mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite de toute l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord un acc\u00e8s et une assistance encore plus grands lorsqu\u2019il s\u2019agit de faire le plein de leur v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, en ces temps incertains de COVID-19, un avantage suppl\u00e9mentaire est que l\u2019application permet au conducteur de rester dans son v\u00e9hicule pendant que l\u2019accompagnateur le remplit de carburant, assurant ainsi une distance sociale et aidant \u00e0 contenir la propagation communautaire du coronavirus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Une nouvelle application aide les automobilistes \u00e0 mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite dans les stations-service du pays.
