Marcos Malzone et Elliot Roberts de Solera\/Audatex, sont aux premi\u00e8res lignes du d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019applications d\u2019estimation des dommages bas\u00e9e sur des photos analys\u00e9es par l\u2019intelligence artificielle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dans le cadre de la rencontre virtuelle du Forum canadien de l\u2019industrie de la carrosserie (CCIF), ces deux experts internationaux, responsables du d\u00e9veloppement de produits sur tous les continents ont expliqu\u00e9 quelle r\u00e9volution dans l\u2019estimation des dommages apr\u00e8s une collision l\u2019intelligence artificielle apportera. Cette technologie est \u00e0 nos portes.<\/p>\n

Solera, qui commercialise la plateforme d\u2019estimation Audatex, pousse la recherche pour qu\u2019une photo des dommages sur une voiture soit automatiquement traduite par un estim\u00e9 des co\u00fbts de r\u00e9paration. La voiture est identifi\u00e9e par son num\u00e9ro VIN qui pr\u00e9cise le mod\u00e8le, l\u2019ann\u00e9e et la version. Un calque du v\u00e9hicule permet au logiciel, bas\u00e9 sur l\u2019intelligence artificielle, de tracer les zones affect\u00e9es. L\u2019utilisateur n\u2019a alors qu\u2019\u00e0 retirer les dommages ant\u00e9rieurs et l\u2019estimation des dommages s\u2019ajustera automatiquement.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Ce n\u2019est pas la solution parfaite, s\u2019empresse de pr\u00e9ciser Elliot Roberts, \u00e7a prend un expert pour valider les dommages, mais c\u2019est un outil incroyable qui donne une tr\u00e8s bonne base pour l\u2019estimation des travaux \u00e0 faire et du prix qu\u2019ils repr\u00e9sentent.\u00a0\u00bb L\u2019information sur le kilom\u00e9trage permettra aussi de d\u00e9terminer la valeur du v\u00e9hicule avant la collision, ce qui entrera en ligne de compte pour d\u00e9terminer la suite des choses, notamment la d\u00e9claration de perte totale.<\/p>\n

Une immense base de donn\u00e9es<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Pour construire son estim\u00e9, le syst\u00e8me qui est pr\u00e9sentement en validation aupr\u00e8s d\u2019assureurs europ\u00e9ens et d\u2019ateliers de carrosserie, travaille sur une base de donn\u00e9es comptant un milliard d\u2019images et 350 millions d\u2019estim\u00e9s provenant d\u2019ateliers. Tout \u00e7a est reli\u00e9 au syst\u00e8me Audatex qui comporte tous les processus de r\u00e9paration selon les normes des constructeurs, constamment mis \u00e0 jour. Le syst\u00e8me a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit pour tenir compte des co\u00fbts des travaux et des pi\u00e8ces selon les diff\u00e9rents march\u00e9s mondiaux pour ajuster en cons\u00e9quence les estim\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Pour les assureurs, cet outil promet une grande transparence et une constance dans les r\u00e9sultats, explique \u00e0 son tour Marcos Malzone. Les projets pilotes en cours d\u00e9montrent une r\u00e9duction de 50\u00a0% des suppl\u00e9ments dans les dossiers analys\u00e9s. Nous travaillons \u00e0 valider ce processus automatique bas\u00e9e sur nos donn\u00e9es et les d\u00e9cisions en archives.\u00a0\u00bb Les deux intervenants savent qu\u2019en plus de valider la technologie, il faudra aussi la rendre acceptable aux assureurs, fournisseurs et r\u00e9parateurs. Pour le consommateur, qui pourrait lui-m\u00eame fournir les photos \u00e0 son assureur, tout le processus de r\u00e9clamation pourrait \u00eatre acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9. Et si l\u2019estimation est pr\u00e9cise et d\u00e9taill\u00e9e, le carrossier aurait l\u2019occasion de commander les pi\u00e8ces n\u00e9cessaires et r\u00e9server son \u00e9quipe avant m\u00eame que la voiture n\u2019entre \u00e0 l\u2019atelier.<\/p>\n

Selon les d\u00e9veloppeurs, la plateforme qui est en validation aupr\u00e8s de l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me de la carrosserie doit atteindre un consensus entre le consommateur, l\u2019assureur, les fournisseurs de pi\u00e8ces et de mat\u00e9riel et les carrossiers. Une \u00e9tude comparative est aussi en cours pour voir quelles disparit\u00e9s seront d\u00e9cel\u00e9es entre un estim\u00e9 fait par un logiciel bas\u00e9 sur l\u2019intelligence artificielle et celui compil\u00e9 par un humain.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Le d\u00e9fi technologique ne fait plus obstacle. L\u2019utilisation de photos qui peuvent ainsi \u00eatre interpr\u00e9t\u00e9es en 20 secondes va changer le paysage de la carrosserie, pr\u00e9dit M.\u00a0Roberts.
