L\u2019initiative gouvernementale d\u2019introduire un salaire de 26 $ l\u2019heure et une formation r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9e pour attirer des travailleurs au poste de pr\u00e9pos\u00e9s aux b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaires porte le secteur de la m\u00e9canique automobile \u00e0 se questionner.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous avons de la difficult\u00e9, depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, \u00e0 attirer de jeunes talents dans notre industrie, constate Roger Goudreau, une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans le secteur du march\u00e9 secondaire automobile. Quand on voit l\u2019offre de postes bien r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s o\u00f9 les travailleurs auront d\u00e8s le d\u00e9part acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des programmes d\u2019assurances et de fonds de pension, il faut r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 notre offre. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Selon M. Goudreau, avec des salaires \u00e0 peine plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s que le salaire minimum, la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour un nouveau travailleur d\u2019investir dans son coffre \u00e0 outils \u00e0 m\u00eame son portefeuille et l\u2019absence presque g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e de b\u00e9n\u00e9fices marginaux l\u2019industrie automobile \u00e0 du chemin \u00e0 faire pour se rendre plus attrayante.<\/p>\n

Goudreau d\u00e9plore aussi le fait qu\u2019un travailleur peut acc\u00e9der \u00e0 un poste de technicien dans un atelier sans d\u00e9tenir de formation structur\u00e9e et reconnue\u00a0; un facteur qui d\u00e9value toute la profession.<\/p>\n

Ajuster salaires et conditions<\/strong><\/h5>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Il faut faire une contre-offre int\u00e9ressante et la faire conna\u00eetre, reprend-il. Il faut ajuster les salaires et les conditions.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

C\u2019est un point de vue partag\u00e9 par le formateur Pierre Desmarchais qui consid\u00e8re que le secteur se dirige vers une p\u00e9riode douloureuse, pas par manque de travail, mais faute de bras pour faire le travail.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons un ministre de la Sant\u00e9 qui peut mettre en place des mesures pour attirer les travailleurs dans ce secteur. Mais nous n\u2019avons pas de ministre des Garages pour nous aider\u00a0\u00bb, lance-t-il pour illustrer son propos.<\/p>\n

Selon lui, \u00ab\u00a0Il faut faire nos devoirs et proc\u00e9der \u00e0 un examen de conscience. Qu\u2019est-ce que l\u2019industrie a \u00e0 offrir\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Le formateur et conf\u00e9rencier explique que l\u2019\u00e9poque o\u00f9 les jeunes se dirigeaient vers les m\u00e9tiers de l\u2019automobile pour assouvir une passion pour la m\u00e9canique est r\u00e9volue et que l\u2019industrie doit consid\u00e9rer l\u2019ajout aux conditions de travail de programmes d\u2019assurances et de retraite.<\/p>\n

Une assurance collective<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Nous avons lanc\u00e9 la question \u00e0 Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Champagne, pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019AIA Canada \u00e0 savoir si son organisation ne pourrait pas travailler, avec ses partenaires, \u00e0 la mise en place d\u2019un programme d\u2019assurances collectives accessible \u00e0 toutes les entreprises du march\u00e9 secondaire automobile.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est quelque chose qui pourrait se faire, r\u00e9pond-il. Jadis un tel programme avait \u00e9t\u00e9 construit, mais plusieurs entrepreneurs, au fil du temps, s\u2019en \u00e9taient dissoci\u00e9s en trouvant des services moins chers ailleurs.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Il pr\u00e9cise qu\u2019en ce qui a trait \u00e0 un fonds de pension collectif, la chose est beaucoup plus complexe, car elle demanderait un consensus d\u2019un nombre \u00e9lev\u00e9 d\u2019intervenants.<\/p>\n

La base demeure que les entreprises qui ne trouvent pas les employ\u00e9s dont ils ont besoin devront bonifier leur offre s\u2019ils veulent assurer leur p\u00e9rennit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Des initiatives<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Champagne souligne \u00e9galement que certains groupes et r\u00e9seaux ont pris les devants et proposent \u00e0 leurs ateliers affili\u00e9s des programmes \u00e0 la carte d\u2019assurance collective.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est par exemple ce qu\u2019on nous confirme chez Point S, o\u00f9 un programme volontaire d\u2019assurance collective est offert aux marchands qui voudraient le proposer pour am\u00e9liorer leur attraction et la r\u00e9tention du personnel.<\/p>\n

Mais entre ces initiatives et un programme accessible \u00e0 tous, il y a loin de la coupe aux l\u00e8vres. D\u2019autant plus que les effets de la crise de la COVID-19 ont chang\u00e9 grandement la dynamique sur le march\u00e9 du travail.<\/p>\n

Y aura-t-il encore p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre dans le secteur automobile lorsque l\u2019\u00e9conomie va se repositionner dans la nouvelle r\u00e9alit\u00e9 de l\u2019apr\u00e8s-pand\u00e9mie\u00a0?<\/p>\n
