Pour le propri\u00e9taire Robin Morissette, l\u2019avenir d\u2019un atelier se trouve \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c0 <\/span>sa premi\u00e8re matin\u00e9e de cours en m\u00e9canique automobile, Nicolas Jutzi a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu\u2019il serait le meilleur de sa cohorte. L\u2019\u00e9tudiant f\u00e9ru de nouvelles technologies devenait quelques mois plus tard le finissant \u00ab que tout le monde s\u2019arrache \u00bb, comme l\u2019a rapidement compris son patron actuel.<\/p>\n

L\u2019apprenti devenait il y a un an et demi le nouveau sp\u00e9cialiste du diagnostic \u00e9lectronique dont avait besoin l\u2019atelier Carrossier ProColor Saint-Hyacinthe Centre. Et ce, avec quelques jours d\u2019exp\u00e9rience \u00e0 peine, acquise en parall\u00e8le de ses cours.<\/p>\n

Un nouveau poste<\/b><\/p>\n

Il y avait un certain temps que M. Morissette flairait le besoin de se pourvoir de ce type d\u2019experts nouveau genre. \u00ab Autour de 2016, j\u2019ai compris ce qui s\u2019en venait : des technologies qui \u00e9voluent sans cesse, des proc\u00e9dures de plus en plus complexes, les certifications, bref, la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019avoir toutes les ressources en atelier pour pouvoir faire le travail \u00bb, r\u00e9sume-t-il.<\/p>\n

\u00ab J\u2019avais besoin d\u2019un expert de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration. Dans l\u2019atelier, les bases d\u2019un scanneur, tout le monde les connaissait. Mais pour faire les analyses pouss\u00e9es, r\u00e9gler tous les codes d\u2019anomalies et remettre le v\u00e9hicule dans son \u00e9tat d\u2019origine, je devais envoyer plusieurs travaux en sous-traitance, poursuit-il. C\u2019est pour cette raison que j\u2019ai embauch\u00e9 Nicolas. \u00bb<\/p>\n

M. Jutzi travaille actuellement \u00e0 temps sur tout probl\u00e8me m\u00e9canique caus\u00e9 par les collisions ; 30 % de son temps est consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019analyse des donn\u00e9es des v\u00e9hicules. \u00ab Les techniciens ici ont entre 10 et 20 ans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience, mais personne n\u2019avait vraiment de connaissances en analyse de donn\u00e9es. On voit 7 ou 8 codes d\u2019anomalie, on en r\u00e8gle un, tout s\u2019efface et on pense que c\u2019est r\u00e9gl\u00e9, souligne M. Morissette. Nicolas a les comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires pour faire l\u2019analyse en bonne et due forme et r\u00e9pondre aux exigences actuelles de l\u2019industrie. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Des r\u00e9sultats concrets<\/b><\/p>\n

L\u2019apprenti n\u2019aura pas attendu longtemps pour faire ses preuves, comme l\u2019illustre un cas survenu six mois seulement apr\u00e8s son arriv\u00e9e. \u00ab La sonde ext\u00e9rieure d\u2019une Lincoln MKC affichait une temp\u00e9rature absurde, explique-t-il. J\u2019ai alors trouv\u00e9 la cause : il fallait remplacer l\u2019ECM, mais cette pi\u00e8ce co\u00fbte tr\u00e8s cher et si jamais je m\u2019\u00e9tais tromp\u00e9, elle est non remboursable. Avant de payer, l\u2019assureur tenait \u00e0 avoir le deuxi\u00e8me avis d\u2019un sp\u00e9cialiste chez le concessionnaire. J\u2019\u00e9tais tr\u00e8s fier d\u2019apprendre que nous sommes arriv\u00e9s aux m\u00eames r\u00e9sultats ! \u00bb<\/p>\n

Mais comme l\u2019indiquent M. Jutzi et M. Morissette, la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019un sp\u00e9cialiste en analyse \u00e9lectronique n\u2019\u00e9limine pas toujours le recours \u00e0 la sous-traitance. \u00ab On peut difficilement \u00eatre aussi connaissant qu\u2019un expert habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler sur les m\u00eames mod\u00e8les, et qui en connait donc tous les probl\u00e8mes r\u00e9currents \u00bb, indique M. Morissette.<\/p>\n

La conscience des limites<\/b><\/p>\n

M. Jutzi garde un cas pr\u00e9cis en t\u00eate. \u00ab La proc\u00e9dure \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s claire : je devais isoler chaque ordinateur affect\u00e9 du v\u00e9hicule pour d\u00e9terminer o\u00f9 se trouvait le probl\u00e8me. L\u2019op\u00e9ration aurait pris six heures, explique-t-il. Mon enseignant nous avait d\u2019ailleurs pr\u00e9venu : les probl\u00e8mes reli\u00e9s aux communication du v\u00e9hicule sont longs \u00e0 trouver, impliquent souvent une part d\u2019improvisation, malgr\u00e9 les proc\u00e9dures \u00e9tablies. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Contraintes de temps obligent, le propri\u00e9taire confie le v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 la concession de la r\u00e9gion. \u00ab En atelier, on voit une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de marques passer sous nos yeux. C\u2019est tout \u00e0 fait normal et pr\u00e9vu que nous ayons besoin \u00e0 l\u2019occasion des lumi\u00e8res de sp\u00e9cialistes. Dans ce cas-ci, l\u2019expert en concession avait vu ce m\u00eame probl\u00e8me plusieurs fois sur ce mod\u00e8le pr\u00e9cis. Il n\u2019avait pas \u00e0 en chercher la cause ; c\u2019\u00e9tait r\u00e9gl\u00e9 en moins de deux heures. \u00bb<\/p>\n

De grandes responsabilit\u00e9s<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00c0 l\u2019heure actuelle, quatre \u00e0 cinq v\u00e9hicules par jours sont confi\u00e9s au technicien, et chacun passe en moyenne quatre fois au scanneur, soit \u00e0 l\u2019estimation, durant les travaux, avant le montage final et \u00e0 la r\u00e9initialisation. \u00ab C\u2019est tout un avantage de pouvoir faire toutes ces \u00e9tapes syst\u00e9matiquement en atelier, se r\u00e9jouit M. Morissette. Nicolas acquiert rapidement de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience et fait une grande diff\u00e9rence dans l\u2019\u00e9quipe. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Bien conscient de son r\u00f4le, le jeune technicien en est actuellement \u00e0 g\u00e9rer \u00e0 la fois ses t\u00e2ches, son flux d\u2019apprentissage \u2014 qu\u2019il cultive en suivant le plus de formations possibles \u2014, et le stress qui vient \u00e9videment avec les attentes de son employeur.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Oui, je m\u2019impose une certaine pression, admet-il. C\u2019est moi le sp\u00e9cialiste, il n\u2019y a pas de technicien exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 en analyse \u00e9lectronique avec moi pour me guider. C\u2019est s\u00fbrement la meilleure mani\u00e8re d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Un employeur comp\u00e9titif <\/b><\/p>\n

La grande confiance qu\u2019on lui accorde n\u2019est \u00e9videmment pas \u00e9trang\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat que porte le jeune technicien \u00e0 son employeur. \u00ab L\u2019atelier est impeccable, toujours propre et rang\u00e9, et parfaitement \u00e9quip\u00e9 ; ce sont des conditions que l\u2019on recherche en sortant de l\u2019\u00e9cole, indique M. Jutzi. Mais surtout, on m\u2019accorde une \u00e9norme confiance et l\u2019occasion d\u2019\u00e9voluer rapidement, dans mon champ d\u2019expertise. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Bien s\u00fbr, on ne demande pas \u00e0 un finissant inexp\u00e9riment\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre rentable d\u00e8s le premier jour et aujourd\u2019hui, Robin Morissette se r\u00e9jouit de son investissement. \u00ab C\u2019\u00e9tait le candidat id\u00e9al, insiste-t-il. Peu de techniciens d\u2019exp\u00e9rience sont aussi \u00e0 l\u2019aise avec les nouvelles technologies et sont capables de lire un plan \u00e9lectrique comme les jeunes l\u2019apprennent actuellement \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nicolas a les connaissances et le talent n\u00e9cessaires pour trouver des solutions aux nouveaux probl\u00e8mes que nous ne serions pas en mesure de r\u00e9gler par nous m\u00eame, r\u00e9sume-t-il.
