La pand\u00e9mie de <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">COVID 19 a d\u2019abord entra\u00een\u00e9 des confinements qui ont limit\u00e9 la circulation <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">des personnes et des marchandises. Puis, une flamb\u00e9e de la demande de <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">v\u00e9hicules, conjugu\u00e9e \u00e0 une baisse des stocks, a exerc\u00e9 une pression \u00e9norme <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">sur les prix des v\u00e9hicules d\u2019occasion. Si les march\u00e9s du neuf et de l\u2019occasion se sont partiellement stabilis\u00e9s depuis, l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2025 est marqu\u00e9e par de nouveaux droits de douane et une guerre commerciale \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle internationale. Le secteur automobile nord-am\u00e9ricain, o\u00f9 les liens entre le Canada, les \u00c9tats-Unis et le Mexique sont tr\u00e8s \u00e9troits, en subit aujourd\u2019hui les cons\u00e9quences.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Un contexte difficile<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Les incertitudes entourant les tarifs, les annonces de l\u2019administration <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">am\u00e9ricaine sur l\u2019instauration de nouvelles taxes, ainsi que le manque de <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">clart\u00e9 sur leurs modalit\u00e9s et leur dur\u00e9e, rendent les conditions d\u2019affaires <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">particuli\u00e8rement complexes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Pour Brent Ravelle, pr\u00e9sident du Ravelle Group of Companies, qui poss\u00e8de <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">plusieurs concessions, et pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019association Motor Vehicle Retailers <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">of Ontario, il est aujourd\u2019hui crucial d\u2019informer les consommateurs. Il <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">constate que les rumeurs de tarifs de 25\u202f% circulent , sans toujours refl\u00e9ter <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">la r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Ce qui se passe en coulisses est bien diff\u00e9rent du ton alarmiste <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">des manchettes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Il cite des contrats r\u00e9dig\u00e9s par des avocats comme exemple, et rappelle que <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">ses activit\u00e9s se d\u00e9roulent de part et d\u2019autre de la fronti\u00e8re. Il constate <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">qu\u2019aux \u00c9tats-Unis, on prend de plus en plus conscience des co\u00fbts r\u00e9els li\u00e9s \u00e0 <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">l\u2019application de ces mesures. Selon lui, les concessionnaires doivent miser <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">sur une bonne communication aupr\u00e8s de leurs clients et structurer leurs <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">ventes et produits de protection de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 offrir des r\u00e9sultats mutuellement <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">avantageux.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Un levier essentiel<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div class=\"p-pdf_iframe__page\" aria-label=\"Page\u00a02\" data-page-number=\"2\">\n<div class=\"textLayer\"><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Jake Stacey, vice-pr\u00e9sidente ex\u00e9cutive, Ventes et performance des <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">constructeurs chez LGM Financial Services, partage ce point de vue. Elle <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">souligne que si les tarifs douaniers venaient \u00e0 avoir un impact important sur <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">les prix des v\u00e9hicules au Canada, ce qui pourrait freiner la demande, les <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">produits de financement et d\u2019assurance deviennent alors un outil essentiel <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">pour pr\u00e9server la rentabilit\u00e9 des concessionnaires et maintenir la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">des clients. M\u00eame si les volumes baissent \u00e0 cause des prix plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s, cela <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">ne doit pas r\u00e9duire les occasions offertes par chaque vente.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"textLayer\"><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Dans une conjoncture \u00e9conomique tendue, Stacey recommande aux <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">d\u00e9taillants de se concentrer sur la qualit\u00e9 des transactions et l\u2019int\u00e9gration <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">des produits. Autrement dit, il faut optimiser la valeur et la marge g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">par chaque v\u00e9hicule vendu. Le bureau de financement et d\u2019assurance peut <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">ainsi compenser une baisse des ventes en bonifiant chaque dossier. On exige davantage de <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">transparence, des rapports plus pertinents et une meilleure coordination <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">entre les services de vente et d\u2019apr\u00e8s-vente. Cela ouvre de nouvelles <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">perspectives pour les concessionnaires et leurs partenaires. \u00c0 titre <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">d\u2019exemple, elle cite le programme de v\u00e9hicules d\u2019occasion certifi\u00e9s exclusif <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">de LGM, con\u00e7u pour les concessionnaires franchis\u00e9s. Ce programme pr\u00e9voit <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">une garantie motopropulseur de 30 \u00e0 90 jours, de quoi offrir une v\u00e9ritable <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">tranquillit\u00e9 d\u2019esprit aux clients. Ce type d\u2019initiative et le lien renforc\u00e9 entre <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">vente et service ne rel\u00e8vent pas simplement d\u2019une bonne gestion. Ce sont <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">les fondements de la fid\u00e9lisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong> Les enjeux du march\u00e9 de l\u2019occasion<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Dan Park, pr\u00e9sident directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Clutch, une plateforme <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">canadienne de vente et d\u2019achat de v\u00e9hicules d\u2019occasion en ligne, observe <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">que les conditions de march\u00e9 continuent d\u2019\u00e9voluer, rendant l\u2019environnement <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">de plus en plus difficile \u00e0 naviguer. Dans son rapport de juin 2025, Clutch <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">indique que les prix des v\u00e9hicules usag\u00e9s au Canada sont en hausse depuis <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">sept mois cons\u00e9cutifs, avec une augmentation annuelle de 6,3 pour cent en <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">juin. Le prix moyen atteint d\u00e9sormais 33 868 dollars. Cette tendance a <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">effac\u00e9 toute correction observ\u00e9e en 2024 et r\u00e9sulte de plusieurs facteurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Parmi ceux-ci, la suspension puis la relance du programme Roulez Vert au <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Qu\u00e9bec a g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 une incertitude chez les acheteurs, ralentissant les ventes <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">tout en faisant grimper les prix. Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne, combin\u00e9 \u00e0 une p\u00e9nurie <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">persistante de retours de location et de v\u00e9hicules d\u2019\u00e9change, cons\u00e9quence <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">des baisses de production durant les confinements, complique la <\/span><br role=\"presentation\" \/><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">reconstitution des stocks pour les d\u00e9taillants. \u00c0 cela s\u2019ajoute une forte <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">demande pour les v\u00e9hicules hybrides, qui fait grimper leur valeur, ainsi que <\/span><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">des co\u00fbts plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s dans l\u2019Ouest canadien. Le tout contribue \u00e0 faire augmenter les prix moyens \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nationale, malgr\u00e9 une demande plus faible au Qu\u00e9bec.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span role=\"presentation\" dir=\"ltr\">Selon Park, m\u00eame si ce n\u2019est pas le moment id\u00e9al pour acheter un v\u00e9hicule, le contexte reste favorable \u00e0 condition de bien structurer la transaction.
