Peu importe le terme que vous pr\u00e9f\u00e9rez, ces ruptures sont pr\u00e9occupantes sur les pneus de camions et d&rsquo;autobus, ainsi que sur les pneus LT qui utilisent une construction radiale \u00e0 c\u00e2bles d&rsquo;acier, particuli\u00e8rement lorsque ces pneus ont pu \u00eatre surcharg\u00e9s ou sous-gonfl\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Si vous soup\u00e7onnez qu&rsquo;une rupture \u00e0 glissi\u00e8re pourrait \u00eatre probl\u00e9matique, vous devrez inspecter le pneu en profondeur. Pour le faire en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9, vous devrez (1) retirer l&rsquo;obus de valve, (2) d\u00e9gonfler compl\u00e8tement le pneu, (3) d\u00e9monter l&rsquo;ensemble de roue du v\u00e9hicule, (4) d\u00e9monter le pneu de la jante, et (4) inspecter le pneu visuellement et tactilement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Selon un bulletin d&rsquo;information technique sur les pneus publi\u00e9 par l&rsquo;Association des manufacturiers de pneus des \u00c9tats-Unis (USTMA), \u00ab les professionnels du service des pneus peuvent \u00e9galement utiliser des \u00e9quipements d&rsquo;inspection non destructifs, comme la shearographie, les rayons X ou d&rsquo;autres tests non destructifs, pour d\u00e9tecter toute anomalie pr\u00e9sente dans la carcasse. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Ce m\u00eame bulletin note : \u00ab Pour tous les pneus remis en service, un professionnel du pneu devrait effectuer une inspection visuelle et tactile compl\u00e8te du pneu dans un endroit bien \u00e9clair\u00e9 et avec une lampe portative rasante. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\"><strong>Regarder, toucher, \u00e9couter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Comment savoir s&rsquo;il y a un probl\u00e8me? L&rsquo;USTMA recommande de rechercher les irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s, incluant les perforations, les d\u00e9formations, les abrasions, les ondulations, les rides et les hernies tant \u00e0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur du pneu que sur les flancs. De plus, vous devrez v\u00e9rifier toute coupure, accroc ou \u00e9caillage qui aurait pu exposer le fil d&rsquo;acier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&rsquo;USTMA recommande \u00e9galement de palper pour d\u00e9tecter les irr\u00e9gularit\u00e9s, incluant les points mous dans la zone de flexion du flanc, ainsi que les d\u00e9formations, ondulations, rides et hernies dans le flanc, et les filaments de c\u00e2ble qui d\u00e9passent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Enfin, l&rsquo;USTMA encourage les techniciens en pneus \u00e0 \u00eatre attentifs \u00e0 tout bruit de claquement, de cr\u00e9pitement ou de craquement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\"><strong>Test de gonflage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Si l&rsquo;inspection visuelle, tactile et auditive ne r\u00e9v\u00e8le aucun signal d&rsquo;alarme, l&rsquo;USTMA recommande d&rsquo;effectuer un test de gonflage : (1) monter le pneu sur la jante et le gonfler \u00e0 5 lb\/po\u00b2 pour sceller les talons, (2) placer le pneu dans une cage de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, (3) retirer l&rsquo;obus de valve, (4) fixer un dispositif de gonflage conforme aux normes OSHA avec un boyau assez long pour vous permettre de vous tenir suffisamment loin du pneu, (5) gonfler le pneu \u00e0 20 lb\/po\u00b2 (pneus de camionnettes et de camions moyens) ou 40 lb\/po\u00b2 (pneus d&rsquo;autobus et de camions \u00e0 ordures).<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Ensuite, vous devrez \u00eatre attentif \u00e0 tout bruit de claquement, de cr\u00e9pitement ou de craquement, et rechercher des d\u00e9formations dans les flancs. Si vous ne voyez ni n&rsquo;entendez rien d&rsquo;inqui\u00e9tant, l&rsquo;USTMA recommande d&rsquo;augmenter la pression de gonflage \u00e0 20 lb\/po\u00b2 au-dessus de la pression de gonflage \u00e0 froid indiqu\u00e9e sur le flanc du pneu, sans d\u00e9passer 120 lb\/po\u00b2 pour les pneus de camionnettes et de camions moyens, ou 140 lb\/po\u00b2 pour les pneus d&rsquo;autobus et de camions \u00e0 ordures. Encore une fois, vous devrez \u00eatre attentif aux m\u00eames signaux d&rsquo;alarme mentionn\u00e9s ci-dessus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Si le pneu pr\u00e9sente des caract\u00e9ristiques potentielles de rupture \u00e0 glissi\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;une des \u00e9tapes ci-dessus, l&rsquo;USTMA indique qu&rsquo;il doit \u00eatre marqu\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on appropri\u00e9e, rendu inutilisable et non r\u00e9parable, puis mis au rebut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Ils offrent \u00e9galement l&rsquo;avertissement suivant, qui s&rsquo;applique aux \u00e9tapes d&rsquo;inspection \u00e0 basse et haute pression : \u00ab Si l&rsquo;une de ces conditions est pr\u00e9sente pendant le gonflage \u2014 arr\u00eatez! Ne vous approchez pas du pneu. Avant de le retirer du dispositif de retenue, d\u00e9gonflez compl\u00e8tement le pneu \u00e0 distance.
