Nous l&rsquo;avons entam\u00e9e alors que les impacts des nombreux chocs commen\u00e7aient enfin \u00e0 se r\u00e9sorber, avec l&rsquo;all\u00e8gement des probl\u00e8mes de cha\u00eene d&rsquo;approvisionnement et le retour de la production manufacturi\u00e8re vers des niveaux pr\u00e9-pand\u00e9miques.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La demande refoul\u00e9e a initialement absorb\u00e9 cette reprise de l&rsquo;approvisionnement en v\u00e9hicules, et nous avons observ\u00e9 une forte croissance des ventes de v\u00e9hicules durant la premi\u00e8re partie de 2024. Cela, conjugu\u00e9 \u00e0 la mondialisation, a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 permettre \u00e0 la banque centrale de maintenir un taux directeur plus bas sans attiser l&rsquo;inflation au-del\u00e0 de sa cible de 2 %, le point m\u00e9dian de sa fourchette cible de 1 % \u00e0 3 %.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Alors que davantage de voitures neuves arrivaient chez les concessionnaires en 2024, nous avons constat\u00e9 une baisse des prix des v\u00e9hicules d&rsquo;occasion, bien qu&rsquo;ils ne soient toujours pas revenus aux niveaux bas auxquels les consommateurs \u00e9taient habitu\u00e9s il y a cinq ans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\"><strong>Cha\u00eenes d&rsquo;approvisionnement et politiques commerciales<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Il est probable qu&rsquo;au cours des prochaines ann\u00e9es, les cha\u00eenes d&rsquo;approvisionnement seront restructur\u00e9es avec davantage de \u00ab d\u00e9localisation de proximit\u00e9 \u00bb ou de \u00ab d\u00e9localisation amicale \u00bb \u2014 une transition vers des partenaires d&rsquo;approvisionnement mondiaux plus proches, ou vers des pays dont les politiques sont mieux align\u00e9es pour rendre les cha\u00eenes plus r\u00e9sistantes aux chocs potentiels futurs. Et le secteur automobile pourrait tr\u00e8s bien \u00eatre touch\u00e9 par ces changements, notamment dans la fa\u00e7on dont les composants et les mat\u00e9riaux sont sourc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Un exemple direct de ces politiques commerciales changeantes affectant le secteur automobile est l&rsquo;annonce du Canada, des \u00c9tats-Unis et de l&rsquo;Union europ\u00e9enne d&rsquo;imposer ou d&rsquo;augmenter les tarifs sur les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques (V\u00c9) chinois. Nous nous rapprocherons \u00e9galement d&rsquo;une autre ann\u00e9e vers le premier objectif int\u00e9rimaire de ventes du Canada de 20 % de v\u00e9hicules z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission, qui comprend les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie et les hybrides rechargeables, d&rsquo;ici 2026. Et le secteur automobile canadien continuera de s&rsquo;installer dans sa \u00ab nouvelle normalit\u00e9 \u00bb, o\u00f9 les stocks ne seront peut-\u00eatre pas aussi \u00e9lev\u00e9s qu&rsquo;avant la pand\u00e9mie, mais o\u00f9 les gens pourront toujours acheter des voitures.
