Cette forme de spirale n\u00e9gative afflige notre industrie par son nivellement par le bas.<\/p>\n<p>Je reviens sur cette \u00e9ternelle question de la formation, \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re de notre belle progression dans la reconnaissance de nos droits \u2013 et de ceux des consommateurs \u2013 d\u2019acc\u00e9der aux donn\u00e9es et proc\u00e9dures nous permettant de r\u00e9parer et d\u2019entretenir tous les v\u00e9hicules qui sillonnent nos routes. Cette longue lutte repose sur notre argument, voulant que les ateliers ind\u00e9pendants aient les outils et les comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires pour offrir des services m\u00e9caniques, de m\u00eame nature et qualit\u00e9, que ceux offerts par les concessionnaires.<\/p>\n<p>Il est trop facile pour ces derniers, et les constructeurs, de nous d\u00e9nigrer aux yeux des consommateurs et des instances gouvernementales, en mettant en doute nos capacit\u00e9s d\u2019effectuer le travail dans les r\u00e8gles de l\u2019art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La formation, par tous les chemins<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La formation, celle de base, celle continue, ou encore celle offerte au sein des r\u00e9seaux ou chez les fournisseurs, en classe ou en atelier\u00a0; bref, cette formation sous toutes ses formes a un impact direct sur la p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 des entreprises du march\u00e9 secondaire automobile. Je salue d\u2019ailleurs l\u2019initiative d\u2019Innoviste pour son offensive concert\u00e9e, avec tous les joueurs du secteur automobile, en faveur de la formation.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de l\u2019atelier, il faut revenir sur deux \u00e9l\u00e9ments tr\u00e8s simples et tout aussi importants. Le premier, c\u2019est que sans formation, nous \u00e9rodons nos capacit\u00e9s \u00e0 offrir les services dont ont besoin les voitures modernes, sans parler des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques. Et le second, c\u2019est que la formation est un facteur de premier ordre d\u2019attrait et de r\u00e9tention des techniciens dans nos ateliers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Attirer et retenir<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019AIA Canada est pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nationale et, vous le savez, ici au Qu\u00e9bec, dans nos centres de formation professionnelle pour faire briller notre industrie aupr\u00e8s d\u2019\u00e9tudiants dans les m\u00e9tiers de l\u2019automobile. Et ce que veulent ces derniers, ce sont de bonnes conditions, certes, mais aussi un milieu de travail o\u00f9 ils pourront \u00eatre constamment form\u00e9s, pour relever avec succ\u00e8s les d\u00e9fis amen\u00e9s par les nouvelles technologies. Un m\u00e9canicien heureux est un m\u00e9canicien qui a les connaissances et les outils n\u00e9cessaires pour r\u00e9gler des probl\u00e8mes dont le client ignore l\u2019origine, ou m\u00eame la simple existence.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 titre de conclusion, je mentionnerais que pour un entrepreneur qui dirige son atelier de m\u00e9canique, appuyer sa croissance sur l\u2019expertise technique de son \u00e9quipe, c\u2019est aussi \u00eatre en mesure de justifier \u00e0 ses clients le taux horaire qui leur est factur\u00e9.
