Il y a environ treize ans, le 11 mars 2011, un tsunami provoqu\u00e9 par un tremblement de terre au Japon entra\u00eenait un accident \u00e0 la centrale nucl\u00e9aire de Fukushima au Japon.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9poque, l\u2019usine de Merck \u00e0 Onahama est la seule au monde \u00e0 fabriquer les perles xiralliques.<\/p>\n<p>Malheureusement, les dangers reli\u00e9s \u00e0 la radiation font qu\u2019une zone de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de 30 kilom\u00e8tres est \u00e9rig\u00e9e autour de la centrale nucl\u00e9aire, et l\u2019usine de Merck est dans cette zone. L\u2019approvisionnement mondial de ces pigments perl\u00e9s est donc interrompu pour une p\u00e9riode d\u2019environ trois mois.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que ce laps de temps semble court, l\u2019impact se fait rapidement sentir dans l\u2019industrie. Ford et Chrysler doivent restreindre la disponibilit\u00e9 de certaines couleurs rouges et noires sur leurs voitures neuves, par exemple. Chez Hyundai, la solution retenue est de remplacer les perles xyrallics par des pigments perl\u00e9s conventionnels dans leurs couleurs, ce qui en modifie grandement l\u2019apparence.<\/p>\n<p>Les ateliers de r\u00e9paration sont \u00e9galement affect\u00e9s. Pendant une certaine p\u00e9riode, il n\u2019est plus possible de commander ces colorants pour leur syst\u00e8me de m\u00e9lange. L\u2019inventaire de pigments xyrallics \u00e9tant tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9, les distributeurs vont m\u00e9langer les couleurs en magasin et les envoyer aux ateliers pour \u00e9viter que du mat\u00e9riel inutilis\u00e9 ne dorme sur une tablette.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>La diff\u00e9rence entre un pigment perl\u00e9 conventionnel et un pigment xirallic ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Les principales diff\u00e9rences entre les deux pigments sont leur composition, la forme du pigment et la fa\u00e7on dont la lumi\u00e8re r\u00e9agit avec eux.<\/p>\n<p>Les pigments de perles conventionnels sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement d\u2019origine organique et sont produits en broyant du mica. Leur brillance est moins prononc\u00e9e, mais ils ont plus de vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de couleurs et de tailles disponibles que les pigments xirallics. Ils peuvent pr\u00e9senter des interf\u00e9rences de couleur qui, en fonction de l&rsquo;angle d&rsquo;observation, peuvent cr\u00e9er des couleurs totalement diff\u00e9rentes. Photo Axalta<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>Un produit plus facile \u00e0 utiliser<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Les pigments xirallics eux sont faits d\u2019une feuille plate d&rsquo;oxyde d&rsquo;aluminium avec des surfaces parfaitement similaires et tr\u00e8s r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissantes sous une lumi\u00e8re intense. Le fini automobile scintille lorsque la lumi\u00e8re est directement dirig\u00e9e sur la surface. La taille plus petite des pigments xiralliques les rend plus faciles \u00e0 utiliser, car ils peuvent cr\u00e9er un effet de scintillement sans avoir \u00e0 \u00eatre plus gros, comme les pigments perl\u00e9s conventionnels. Leurs propri\u00e9t\u00e9s permettent d\u2019avoir des effets purs m\u00eame sur des v\u00e9hicules blancs. Leur haut niveau de transparence les rend \u00e9galement id\u00e9aux pour les couleurs sombres.<\/p>\n<p>Ces pigments vont augmenter la saturation d\u2019une couleur. En d\u2019autres mots, du pigment xirallic rouge dans une couche interm\u00e9diaire appliqu\u00e9e sur un v\u00e9hicule tri-couche rouge par exemple rendra la couleur de celui-ci plus pure et intense.<\/p>\n<p>Les manufacturiers automobiles n\u2019utilisent pratiquement plus que ceux-ci pour obtenir des effets qui vont plaire aux consommateurs gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur saturation, ainsi que leur \u00e9clat puissant et extr\u00eamement pur.<\/p>\n<p>Esp\u00e9rons qu\u2019une catastrophe comme celle de Fukushima ne se reproduise plus pour le bien de tous !<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Que s\u2019est-il pass\u00e9 ?
