L’usine Firestone du Liberia a obtenu la certification ISCC PLUS pour ses efforts en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9duction des impacts environnementaux, d’utilisation efficace des ressources et d’am\u00e9lioration de sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 s’adapter, \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer et \u00e0 renforcer sa r\u00e9silience au changement climatique. La certification reconna\u00eet \u00e9galement l’exploitation pour la mise en \u0153uvre de bonnes pratiques agricoles, la garantie de conditions de travail ad\u00e9quates, le respect des r\u00e9glementations locales et la promotion de pratiques de gestion efficaces pour faciliter la croissance et l’am\u00e9lioration continues.<\/p>\n

Le site de Firestone au Liberia est la plus grande exploitation contigu\u00eb de caoutchouc naturel au monde, couvrant environ 118 000 acres ou 185 miles carr\u00e9s. L’installation est \u00e9galement le plus grand employeur priv\u00e9 du Liberia, avec environ 4000 co\u00e9quipiers qui r\u00e9coltent et transforment le caoutchouc naturel. L’entreprise joue \u00e9galement un r\u00f4le actif dans la communaut\u00e9 lib\u00e9rienne en fournissant aux membres de l’\u00e9quipe et aux personnes \u00e0 leur charge des soins m\u00e9dicaux gratuits et en g\u00e9rant 23 \u00e9coles, qui accueillent plus de 7000 \u00e9l\u00e8ves.<\/p>\n

Parmi les certifications notables, citons le Firestone Polymers Polymer Engineering Pilot Center, qui est la premi\u00e8re usine de polym\u00e8res Bridgestone certifi\u00e9e ISCC PLUS, ainsi que l’usine de pneus radiaux pour voitures de tourisme et camionnettes du comt\u00e9 d’Aiken et l’usine de pneus pour voitures de tourisme et camionnettes de Wilson, en Caroline du Nord, qui sont les deux premi\u00e8res usines de pneus certifi\u00e9es ISCC PLUS en Am\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n
