OPENLANE, un chef de file dans l’exploitation de march\u00e9s num\u00e9riques pour la vente en gros de v\u00e9hicules d’occasion, a sign\u00e9 une entente d\u00e9finitive visant l’acquisition de l’entreprise Manheim Canada de Cox Automotive, sous r\u00e9serve de certaines conditions de cl\u00f4ture habituelles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L’acquisition propos\u00e9e fait progresser la strat\u00e9gie num\u00e9rique d’OPENLANE en ajoutant l’inventaire, les acheteurs, les vendeurs et les donn\u00e9es correspondantes de Manheim Canada au march\u00e9 num\u00e9rique d’OPENLANE Canada lanc\u00e9 plus t\u00f4t cette ann\u00e9e. \u00c9valu\u00e9e \u00e0 130 millions de dollars canadiens, soit environ 95 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains, la transaction comprend les installations de Manheim Montr\u00e9al ainsi que les ventes aux ench\u00e8res, les op\u00e9rations et certains employ\u00e9s de Manheim Canada, qui a l’intention de se retirer du Canada.<\/p>\n

Strat\u00e9gie num\u00e9rique<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00ab La vision d’OPENLANE est de b\u00e2tir le plus grand march\u00e9 num\u00e9rique de v\u00e9hicules d’occasion au monde, et cette acquisition contribue \u00e0 l’avancement de notre strat\u00e9gie num\u00e9rique \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Peter Kelly, chef de la direction d’OPENLANE. \u00ab S’appuyant sur l’\u00e9lan donn\u00e9 par le lancement de notre march\u00e9 num\u00e9rique unique OPENLANE Canada en juin, cette transaction permettra d’acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la croissance des entreprises et des concessionnaires et d’am\u00e9liorer l’exp\u00e9rience des clients. Pour les acheteurs, plus d’inventaire signifie plus de choix et une fa\u00e7on simplifi\u00e9e de trouver les meilleurs v\u00e9hicules pour leurs lots. Pour les vendeurs, l’acc\u00e8s instantan\u00e9 \u00e0 la vaste base d’acheteurs d’OPENLANE permet d’obtenir les meilleurs r\u00e9sultats possibles sur chaque vente. Et en approfondissant notre ensemble de donn\u00e9es, nous pouvons g\u00e9n\u00e9rer de meilleures recommandations de v\u00e9hicules, de l’information sur les prix et d’autres renseignements pour aider les clients \u00e0 prendre des d\u00e9cisions plus \u00e9clair\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de vente en gros. \u00bb<\/p>\n

En vertu de l’entente, OPENLANE assumera les relations avec les clients de Manheim Canada. Une fois la transaction conclue, OPENLANE int\u00e9grera les activit\u00e9s de Manheim Canada \u00e0 celles d’OPENLANE Canada, combinant ainsi tout l’inventaire au sein du march\u00e9 num\u00e9rique d’OPENLANE. L’entreprise consolidera \u00e9galement ses activit\u00e9s dans les emplacements voisins, en embauchant du personnel s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 afin d’assurer une transition en douceur pour les clients et de garantir un acc\u00e8s continu aux services et aux offres connexes, y compris les inspections, le reconditionnement, le transport et la logistique.<\/p>\n

Un objectif \u00e0 atteindre : un commerce de gros facile \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La transaction comprend \u00e9galement l’achat des installations de Manheim \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, mais exclut ses autres installations canadiennes. \u00c0 Montr\u00e9al, OPENLANE a l’intention de transf\u00e9rer ses activit\u00e9s, son personnel et son inventaire de son emplacement actuel \u00e0 l’\u00e9tablissement acquis de Montr\u00e9al. Dans tous les autres emplacements, la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des clients et des activit\u00e9s commerciales seront transf\u00e9r\u00e9s dans les centres de logistique automobile d’OPENLANE Canada situ\u00e9s \u00e0 proximit\u00e9. \u00c0 la cl\u00f4ture de la transaction, OPENLANE entamera un processus de mise en march\u00e9 et de vente de son installation actuelle de Montr\u00e9al et pr\u00e9voit un produit substantiel qui financera une partie importante de l’acquisition. Tous les autres emplacements et activit\u00e9s des centres de logistique automobile OPENLANE demeureront inchang\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
