Cet \u00e9quipement de haute technologie est un nouveau jalon dans l\u2019\u00e9volution constante des solutions de peinture d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es par Axalta.<\/span><\/p>\n
Jim Muse, vice-pr\u00e9sident des ventes mondiales chez Axalta Refinish, a expliqu\u00e9 que cet appareil vise \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 une situation o\u00f9 le nombre de variantes de couleurs sur les v\u00e9hicules s\u2019est multipli\u00e9 alors que les techniciens et coloristes en atelier peinent \u00e0 trouver l\u2019\u00e9quivalent exact lors des r\u00e9parations.<\/span><\/p>\n
\u00ab On trouve 200 000 couleurs diff\u00e9rentes sur les v\u00e9hicules pr\u00e9sentement sur les routes, a-t-il illustr\u00e9. Avec le Irus Mix, nous pouvons reproduire quatre millions de nuances. Je crois que cette machine va contribuer \u00e0 changer le secteur de la finition automobile. \u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n
L\u2019\u00e9quipement, qui sera commercialis\u00e9 en Am\u00e9rique du Nord au second trimestre de 2024, co\u00fbtera environ 30 000 USD.<\/span><\/p>\n
Selon M. Muse, cet \u00e9quipement de pointe enl\u00e8ve tout le volet subjectif du choix de couleur.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pour atteindre le plein potentiel du Irus Mix, la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape est de saisir la couleur de la zone \u00e0 repeindre sur le v\u00e9hicule.<\/span><\/p>\n
D\u2019une \u00e0 trois lectures avec un spectrophotom\u00e8tre permettent d\u2019identifier exactement la nuance souhait\u00e9e.<\/span> \n<\/span>Ce r\u00e9sultat est trait\u00e9 par la banque de donn\u00e9es du fabricant de peinture qui \u00e9tablira de fa\u00e7on num\u00e9rique la couleur \u00e0 obtenir.<\/span><\/p>\n
Cette formule est alors transmise au m\u00e9langeur automatique qui va puiser dans ses bouteilles et doser les couleurs \u00e0 ajouter pour obtenir, directement dans le gobelet, la quantit\u00e9 et la nuance n\u00e9cessaire.<\/span><\/p>\n
Aucune manipulation de peinture n\u2019est n\u00e9cessaire et la machine avisera l\u2019op\u00e9rateur si une couleur de base vient \u00e0 baisser sous un certain seuil.<\/span><\/p>\n
La mesure des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la formule se faisant automatiquement, le risque d\u2019erreurs est r\u00e9duit, d\u2019autant que dans certains cas complexes, plus d\u2019une douzaine d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9ments doivent \u00eatre dos\u00e9s avec une grande pr\u00e9cision pour atteindre le r\u00e9sultat souhait\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\nLe gobelet \u00e0 peinture est d\u00e9pos\u00e9 dans l\u2019appareil qui s\u2019occupe du m\u00e9lange. En discussion avec les organisateurs de ce d\u00e9voilement, on apprend que cette technologie est d\u00e9j\u00e0 employ\u00e9e en Europe, o\u00f9 les ateliers de carrosserie sont plus enclins \u00e0 adopter l\u2019approche num\u00e9rique de s\u00e9lection et de pr\u00e9paration de peinture.<\/span><\/p>\n
Les techniciens canadiens devront possiblement \u00eatre form\u00e9s pour tirer le plein potentiel de la machine.<\/span><\/p>\n
Il est aussi mentionn\u00e9 que le Irus Mix pourrait \u00eatre appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 des carrosseries \u00e0 grands volumes qui gagneraient en temps et en pr\u00e9cision dans leur processus de peinture.<\/span><\/p>\n
