General Motors a annonc\u00e9 un investissement de 280 millions de dollars canadiens dans l’usine d’Oshawa pour la production de la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de camions pleine grandeur \u00e0 moteur \u00e0 combustion interne (MCI).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cet investissement s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’engagement de GM en faveur de la fabrication au Canada, qui comprend un investissement de plus de 1,2 milliard de dollars dans l’usine d’Oshawa en 2020. Les d\u00e9tails sur les produits et le calendrier relatifs aux futurs camions de GM ne sont pas communiqu\u00e9s pour l’instant.<\/p>\n

Il y a deux ans, Oshawa Assembly a proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 l’un des lancements d’usine les plus rapides de l’histoire de GM, d\u00e9montrant ainsi la flexibilit\u00e9 et l’agilit\u00e9 de la main-d’\u0153uvre d’Oshawa. Depuis sa r\u00e9ouverture, GM Canada a cr\u00e9\u00e9 2 600 nouveaux emplois dans le secteur manufacturier et des milliers d’emplois indirects chez les fournisseurs canadiens. La production est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 trois \u00e9quipes et cinquante pour cent des nouveaux employ\u00e9s de l’usine d’Oshawa sont des femmes.<\/p>\n

Investissement suppl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 Oshawa<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00ab Nous sommes ravis d’annoncer un investissement suppl\u00e9mentaire dans notre usine d’Oshawa pour soutenir la production de la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de camionnettes de grande taille \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Marissa West, pr\u00e9sidente et directrice g\u00e9n\u00e9rale de GM Canada. \u00ab L’assemblage d’Oshawa joue un r\u00f4le essentiel pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande des clients pour les populaires camionnettes pleine grandeur de GM, aidant GM \u00e0 mener l’industrie canadienne dans les ventes de camionnettes ultrarobustes en 2022 et \u00e0 prendre une avance pr\u00e9coce dans les ventes totales de camionnettes pour 2023. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes fiers de dire que nous continuerons \u00e0 construire des camionnettes avec la fiert\u00e9 d’Oshawa pour les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir. \u00bb<\/p>\n
