Remise des cl\u00e9s du camion anniversaire Kenworth T680 Signature Edition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Un Kenworth T680 Signature Edition avec une couchette de toit de 76 pouces de haut a \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9 hier \u00e0 Heartland Express lors d’une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie sp\u00e9ciale \u00e0 l’usine Kenworth de Chillicothe.<\/p>\n

Il s’agissait du 750 000e camion produit par l’usine, qui a ouvert ses portes en 1974.<\/p>\n

Mike Gerdin, PDG de Heartland Express, \u00e9tait pr\u00e9sent lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie et a re\u00e7u les cl\u00e9s du camion historique des mains de Kevin Baney, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de Kenworth et vice-pr\u00e9sident de PACCAR. Jim Walenczak, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral adjoint de Kenworth pour les ventes et le marketing, Doug VanZuiden, directeur de l’usine Kenworth de Chillicothe, et Preston Hinkle, vice-pr\u00e9sident r\u00e9gional et directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de MHC Kenworth, participaient \u00e9galement \u00e0 l’\u00e9v\u00e9nement.<\/p>\n

\u00ab C’est une ann\u00e9e sp\u00e9ciale pour Kenworth. Nous c\u00e9l\u00e9brons notre 100e anniversaire et notre usine de Chillicothe a franchi une nouvelle \u00e9tape avec la production de son 750 000e camion \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Baney. \u00ab C’est un hommage \u00e0 tous ceux qui ont travaill\u00e9 dans cette usine au fil des ans, depuis son ouverture il y a pr\u00e8s de 50 ans. Nous ne pourrions \u00eatre plus heureux que ce camion historique aille \u00e0 un client de longue date comme Heartland Express. C’est un parc qui a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 fonctionner juste apr\u00e8s l’ouverture de l’usine de Chillicothe, et qui en est \u00e0 sa deuxi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration en tant qu’entreprise familiale – s’\u00e9levant \u00e0 plus de 6 000 camions. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Heartland Express, une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 publique bas\u00e9e \u00e0 North Liberty, dans l’Iowa, regroupe quatre entreprises de camionnage : Heartland Express, CFI, Millis Transfer et Smith Transport. Le T680 Signature Edition est l’un des plus de 500 T680 que Heartland a command\u00e9s \u00e0 Kenworth en 2023, par l’interm\u00e9diaire de son concessionnaire MHC Kenworth – Cedar Rapids. Il est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d’un moteur PACCAR MX-13 d’une puissance de 455 chevaux et d’une transmission automatis\u00e9e PACCAR TX-12.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous sommes tr\u00e8s heureux de recevoir ce camion anniversaire Signature Edition Kenworth T680. La peinture Century Platinum va vraiment se d\u00e9marquer des camions blancs traditionnels de notre parc Heartland \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Gerdin. \u00ab Ce camion sera bient\u00f4t remis \u00e0 un chauffeur sp\u00e9cial et signifiera autant pour lui que pour nous. Nous sommes tr\u00e8s fiers et honor\u00e9s de conduire le 750 000e camion de l’usine de Chillicothe. Les employ\u00e9s ici font un excellent travail – ils sont fiers de la qualit\u00e9 des camions qu’ils construisent, et leur passion est visible. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Kenworth T680 \u00c9dition Signature<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Le T680 Signature Edition Diamond VIT est dot\u00e9 d’une calandre et d’une prise d’air lat\u00e9rale en onyx noir, et de badges Kenworth 100 pro\u00e9minents sur la traverse. L’int\u00e9rieur est noir avec des surpiq\u00fbres rouges h\u00e9rit\u00e9es du pass\u00e9 dans toute la cabine et la couchette. L’ensemble comprend \u00e9galement un si\u00e8ge GT703 de marque Kenworth 100 avec des accents rouges, un tableau de bord et des garnitures de porte en platine bross\u00e9 sp\u00e9cial, et le logo Kenworth 100 cousu sur la paroi arri\u00e8re de la couchette.<\/p>\n

M. Gerdin a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu’apr\u00e8s une visite de l’usine il y a plusieurs ann\u00e9es, sa d\u00e9cision d’acheter des Kenworth a \u00e9t\u00e9 renforc\u00e9e. \u00ab La premi\u00e8re chose que j’ai remarqu\u00e9e, ce sont les gens \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9. \u00ab J’ai discut\u00e9 avec de nombreuses personnes travaillant sur la ligne et on pouvait voir qu’elles \u00e9taient profond\u00e9ment attach\u00e9es \u00e0 ce qu’elles faisaient et qu’elles \u00e9taient fi\u00e8res de la qualit\u00e9 des camions qu’elles produisaient. Lorsque les camions nous sont livr\u00e9s par MHC, les conducteurs se battent presque pour monter \u00e0 bord. Nous appr\u00e9cions les \u00e9conomies de carburant et la fiabilit\u00e9 de ces camions, et les chauffeurs en appr\u00e9cient l’aspect et la conduite. \u00bb<\/p>\n

\u00ab C’est formidable que Mike comprenne et appr\u00e9cie ce qui se passe dans les coulisses de la construction des camions dans notre usine Kenworth \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. VanZuiden, directeur de l’usine Kenworth de Chillicothe. \u00ab Nous avons livr\u00e9 notre 500 000e camion en 2016, ce qui ne semble pas si loin. Nous prenons notre slogan World’s Best \u00e0 c\u0153ur. \u00bb<\/p>\n

En 2016, M. Gerdin a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que son entreprise avait \u00e9largi sa relation avec Kenworth – commandant plus de 500 camions par an – gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’excellente relation \u00e9tablie avec MHC Kenworth. \u00ab Il s’agit d’une op\u00e9ration fantastique \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9. \u00ab Ils ont toujours tenu la distance pour nous et m’ont prouv\u00e9 leur valeur \u00e0 maintes reprises. C’est la raison pour laquelle nous achetons tant de camions chez Kenworth. Mais ma relation avec Kenworth remonte \u00e0 des d\u00e9cennies. J’ai une photo de mon grand-p\u00e8re, de mon p\u00e8re et de moi-m\u00eame devant un Kenworth cabover quand j’avais trois ans. C’\u00e9tait en 1972. \u00c0 l’\u00e9poque, mon premier travail consistait \u00e0 laver des roues, car c’\u00e9tait tout ce que je pouvais atteindre. Les camions ont toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 dans le sang de ma famille, et c’est encore le cas aujourd\u2019hui. \u00bb<\/p>\n
