De la demande d&rsquo;indemnisation initiale \u00e0 l&rsquo;estimation, en passant par le processus de r\u00e9paration, les co\u00fbts, les pi\u00e8ces utilis\u00e9es et la dur\u00e9e du cycle, une grande partie de ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e9tait dict\u00e9e par ce qu&rsquo;un assureur \u00e9tait pr\u00eat \u00e0 payer et \u00e0 fournir pour qu&rsquo;un v\u00e9hicule donn\u00e9 soit r\u00e9par\u00e9 et remis dans l&rsquo;\u00e9tat o\u00f9 il se trouvait avant l&rsquo;accident.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis lors, nous avons assist\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs changements dans le secteur. Il y a une dizaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, les \u00e9quipementiers ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s&rsquo;int\u00e9resser de plus pr\u00e8s au processus de r\u00e9paration des collisions, non seulement en raison de la complexit\u00e9 croissante des v\u00e9hicules et des co\u00fbts de r\u00e9paration, mais aussi parce qu&rsquo;ils souhaitaient prot\u00e9ger leur image de marque.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Co\u00fbts et complexit\u00e9 accrus<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Cela a remis en question le statu quo, en ajoutant des exigences qui ont augment\u00e9 le temps, le co\u00fbt et la complexit\u00e9 des r\u00e9parations. Les proc\u00e9dures de r\u00e9paration sp\u00e9cifiques, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement et la formation, les analyses pr\u00e9alables et post\u00e9rieures et les \u00e9talonnages de l&rsquo;ADAS sont devenus partie int\u00e9grante du processus de r\u00e9paration. Les assureurs qui ont choisi d&rsquo;ignorer ces aspects ou qui ont essay\u00e9 de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts l&rsquo;ont fait \u00e0 leurs risques et p\u00e9rils.<\/p>\n<p>Pendant la pand\u00e9mie, de nombreux ateliers ont vu leur volume de r\u00e9parations diminuer consid\u00e9rablement en raison des fermetures d&rsquo;usines par les autorit\u00e9s, qui ont emp\u00each\u00e9 les gens de rentrer chez eux et de circuler sur les routes, r\u00e9duisant ainsi le risque de collisions. Cette situation a entra\u00een\u00e9 une r\u00e9duction des effectifs dans de nombreux ateliers, avec des mises \u00e0 pied, des licenciements ou, pour les plus anciens, une acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration des d\u00e9parts \u00e0 la retraite.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, avec l&rsquo;augmentation des volumes de r\u00e9paration, de nombreux centres de collision sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des probl\u00e8mes de capacit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9paration, ce qui signifie qu&rsquo;il y a plus de travail disponible qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y a de personnel pour le traiter et l&rsquo;ex\u00e9cuter. Pour les centres de collision comme pour les assureurs, cela a chang\u00e9 la dynamique de l&rsquo;activit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Plus de travail pour le magasin<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, dans de nombreux cas, le rapport entre les estimateurs et les techniciens de collision est de 1:1. Nous avons vu les tarifs des portes augmenter, mais le fait est qu&rsquo;une grande partie du travail li\u00e9 aux sinistres est d\u00e9sormais t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9e dans l&rsquo;atelier, comme l&rsquo;estimation \u00e0 partir de photos, la recherche de pi\u00e8ces, les mises \u00e0 jour des r\u00e9parations et la communication entre l&rsquo;atelier et l&rsquo;entreprise de location de voitures.<\/p>\n<p>Cela signifie que la responsabilit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;atelier est plus grande et qu&rsquo;il lui faut plus de temps et d&rsquo;efforts pour mener \u00e0 bien une r\u00e9paration. Le probl\u00e8me, c&rsquo;est que certains assureurs consid\u00e8rent encore le volume des r\u00e9parations comme la principale monnaie d&rsquo;\u00e9change sur le march\u00e9, alors que ce n&rsquo;est plus le cas.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, les r\u00e9parateurs de carrosserie ont souvent pris le dessus pour d\u00e9terminer les travaux qu&rsquo;ils acceptent et ceux qu&rsquo;ils refusent. Nous voyons de plus en plus de cas o\u00f9 les remorquages sont refus\u00e9s, ainsi que les estimations initiales, en raison de retards d\u00e9j\u00e0 importants dans les r\u00e9parations.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Plus s\u00e9lectif<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Cette situation offre aux r\u00e9parateurs la possibilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre plus s\u00e9lectifs dans leurs relations avec les assureurs, en leur permettant de s&rsquo;engager avec des assureurs qui sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 leur verser une prime pour g\u00e9rer leurs sinistres et qui ne se d\u00e9chargent pas d&rsquo;un grand nombre de t\u00e2ches administratives sur l&rsquo;atelier.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avons vu de nombreux exemples d&rsquo;assureurs qui ont consid\u00e9rablement augment\u00e9 leurs tarifs de r\u00e9paration au cours des deux derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es parce qu&rsquo;ils reconnaissent la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour le secteur de surmonter les probl\u00e8mes de capacit\u00e9 et de veiller \u00e0 ce que les v\u00e9hicules de leurs clients soient r\u00e9par\u00e9s rapidement et correctement.<\/p>\n<p>Et comme les p\u00e9nuries de main-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre et de pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9tach\u00e9es continuent de poser probl\u00e8me \u00e0 notre secteur et \u00e0 d&rsquo;autres, cette situation n&rsquo;est pas pr\u00e8s de changer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dans le premier de deux articles consacr\u00e9s au processus de r\u00e8glement des sinistres, J.R. examine comment la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 et les conditions du march\u00e9 modifient le processus de r\u00e8glement des sinistres pour les centres de collision.
