\u00c0 l\u2019approche de la 5e<\/sup>\u00a0\u00e9dition du Salon du v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique de Montr\u00e9al, UAP annonce l\u2019ajout prochain de nouveaux ateliers certifi\u00e9s NexDrive au sein de son r\u00e9seau NAPA AUTOPRO. <\/strong><\/p>\n

D\u2019ici la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, la banni\u00e8re passera de 13\u00a0ateliers actuellement certifi\u00e9s pour la r\u00e9paration de v\u00e9hicules de prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration \u00e0 plus de 40. Le r\u00e9seau s\u2019\u00e9tendra aussi dans d\u2019autres provinces canadiennes.<\/p>\n

UAP poursuit ainsi son objectif de mettre sur pied un r\u00e9seau national pour l\u2019entretien et la r\u00e9paration de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et hybrides afin d\u2019offrir aux propri\u00e9taires de ces v\u00e9hicules une solution de rechange fiable, abordable et technologiquement \u00e9volu\u00e9e \u00e0 leur concessionnaire d\u2019origine.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Notre plus grande r\u00e9ussite l\u2019an dernier a \u00e9t\u00e9 de mettre en place le programme de formation pour les ateliers et de l\u2019offrir non seulement au Qu\u00e9bec, mais \u00e9galement en Ontario et en Colombie-Britannique. L\u2019engouement a \u00e9t\u00e9 instantan\u00e9, ce qui confirme que NexDrive r\u00e9pond \u00e0 un besoin du march\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, explique Yves\u00a0Racette, directeur du d\u00e9veloppement des programmes pour la banni\u00e8re NexDrive.<\/p>\n

M. Racette, un pionnier au Qu\u00e9bec en mati\u00e8re de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, s\u2019est joint \u00e0 NAPA l\u2019an dernier afin de mettre sur pied le programme de formation et de certification derri\u00e8re la banni\u00e8re NexDrive. En plus d\u2019\u00eatre pr\u00e9sent au kiosque de NexDrive pendant toute la dur\u00e9e du salon, M. Racette animera un atelier sur l\u2019\u00e9volution des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et leur entretien.<\/p>\n

Au cours de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, UAP a \u00e9galement mis sur pied un programme de formation et de certification pour ses magasins qui fournissent les pi\u00e8ces et l\u2019\u00e9quipement sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 pour v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et hybrides. D\u2019ici la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, quelque 150\u00a0magasins NAPA Pi\u00e8ces d\u2019auto devraient avoir obtenu la certification NAPA Haute Tension leur permettant de desservir les ateliers qui offrent des services d\u2019entretien et de r\u00e9paration des v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques.<\/p>\n

\u00ab En plus de pr\u00e9parer les ateliers, nous devons aussi ajuster notre syst\u00e8me d\u2019approvisionnement pour ce segment de march\u00e9, tout en nous assurant de former les membres de notre \u00e9quipe afin qu\u2019ils puissent r\u00e9pondre aux besoins et aux questions de nos clients \u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 John O\u2019Dowd, vice-pr\u00e9sident, marketing, pour NAPA Canada. \u00ab Pour travailler sur les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques, les ateliers ont non seulement besoin des bonnes pi\u00e8ces, mais aussi d\u2019\u00e9quipements, d\u2019outils sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, de bornes de recharge et de conseils. Nous travaillons en \u00e9troite collaboration avec nos fournisseurs pour offrir une vaste gamme de produits afin de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette nouvelle demande. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Une nouveaut\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Cette ann\u00e9e, le kiosque de NexDrive accueillera, pendant la journ\u00e9e de samedi, l\u2019animateur de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision bien connu Pierre\u00a0Michaud. Ce dernier viendra pr\u00e9senter son plus r\u00e9cent projet\u00a0: la conversion d\u2019une Pontiac GTO\u00a01966 en v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique. M.\u00a0Michaud en est \u00e0 son deuxi\u00e8me projet du genre, ayant converti une Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz\u00a01963 l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. On peut suivre l\u2019\u00e9volution de ce projet \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9mission Crinqu\u00e9<\/em>, qui est pr\u00e9sentement en ondes \u00e0 RDS.<\/p>\n
