Apr\u00e8s avoir f\u00eat\u00e9 ses dix ans d’existence, cette concession s’appr\u00eate \u00e0 entrer dans une toute nouvelle \u00e8re de la vente au d\u00e9tail de v\u00e9hicules.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maple Volkswagen a r\u00e9cemment c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 une \u00e9tape importante. L’ann\u00e9e 2022 marque leur 10e ann\u00e9e d’activit\u00e9 et, selon Jim L. Garofalo, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et associ\u00e9 g\u00e9rant, la concession est num\u00e9ro un au Canada en termes de volume de ventes.<\/p>\n

De plus, M. Garofalo est tr\u00e8s fier du fait que sa concession ait \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnue par Volkswagen Canada en recevant le prix tr\u00e8s convoit\u00e9 du Wolfsburg Crest Club pour 2023. Cet honneur est d\u00e9cern\u00e9 aux concessionnaires qui ont satisfait aux normes d’excellence de Volkswagen en mati\u00e8re de vente et de service. \u00ab Nous avons remport\u00e9 ce prix pratiquement chaque ann\u00e9e au cours des dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, explique M. Garofalo, sauf pendant le COVID-19, lorsque Volkswagen a mis le prix en suspens. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Investir dans les individus<\/strong><\/h2>\n

M. Garofalo estime que si sa concession a toujours fourni un service et des chiffres de vente prim\u00e9s, c’est gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 des personnes qu’il a embauch\u00e9es. \u00ab Je pense que nous avons investi dans les bonnes personnes, explique-t-il. Nous avons embauch\u00e9 les bonnes personnalit\u00e9s et nous leur avons permis de se d\u00e9velopper et de s’\u00e9panouir dans leurs fonctions dans cette entreprise. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Contrairement aux id\u00e9es re\u00e7ues, Garofalo et son \u00e9quipe de direction n’ont pas recrut\u00e9 du personnel au sein de l’industrie. \u00ab Je n’\u00e9tais pas tr\u00e8s port\u00e9 sur l’embauche de personnel exp\u00e9riment\u00e9, ajoute-t-il. Nous avons estim\u00e9 qu’il serait plus avantageux d’embaucher les bons traits de personnalit\u00e9 et d’enseigner ensuite \u00e0 ces personnes comment faire le travail. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Cette approche a certainement fonctionn\u00e9 au cours de la derni\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie, et M. Garofalo affirme que sa concession a un taux de roulement de personnel tr\u00e8s faible. \u00ab Beaucoup de nos employ\u00e9s sont avec nous depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es \u00bb, ajoute-t-il.<\/p>\n

Les 10 prochaines ann\u00e9es<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Aussi fier que M. Garofalo soit de ses dix derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es d’activit\u00e9, il est conscient que l’avenir pr\u00e9sentera des d\u00e9fis que tous les acteurs du secteur, et pas seulement les concessionnaires, devront \u00eatre en mesure de relever.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Lorsque nous pensons \u00e0 l\u2019avenir, explique-t-il, l’un des plus grands d\u00e9fis et changements est l’\u00e9lectrification. C’est une toute nouvelle \u00e8re pour nous, et nous allons tous devoir apprendre et comprendre ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne alors que nous entrons prudemment dans cette nouvelle phase de notre industrie. Nous devrons \u00e9galement nous assurer que nous pourrons continuer \u00e0 fonctionner. Ce sera une p\u00e9riode int\u00e9ressante pour nos services d’entretien et nos services de pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9tach\u00e9es. L’\u00e9limination du moteur \u00e0 combustion interne va constituer un chapitre int\u00e9ressant dans la vie de chacun dans ce secteur. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Un membre de la famille<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Maple Volkswagen fait partie de la famille de concessionnaires appartenant au groupe Zanchin Automotive, qui comprend Martin Grove Volkswagen et Mississauga Volkswagen. M. Garofalo s’est associ\u00e9 au groupe Zanchin pour la concession de Maple, ainsi qu’\u00e0 Milton Volkswagen, et dit qu’il a h\u00e2te de d\u00e9velopper le r\u00e9seau de franchises VW en ajoutant un autre emplacement, dans un avenir proche, esp\u00e9rons-le.<\/p>\n

Le fait qu’il ait bien embauch\u00e9 par le pass\u00e9 et qu’il ait des employ\u00e9s de confiance \u00e0 des postes cl\u00e9s permet \u00e0 M. Garofalo d’envisager une \u00e9ventuelle expansion, en sachant qu’il dispose des personnes talentueuses et comp\u00e9tentes en place, si et quand l’opportunit\u00e9 de poss\u00e9der et d’exploiter un autre site VW se concr\u00e9tise.<\/p>\n
