Volvo Trucks North America a accueilli les dirigeants de Penske Truck Leasing au centre client Volvo Trucks de Dublin, en Virginie, pour comm\u00e9morer la livraison du 25 000e camion dans le cadre d’un partenariat qui s’\u00e9tend sur les deux derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Les membres du conseil d’administration du groupe Volvo, dont Martin Lundstedt, pr\u00e9sident et directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, et Peter Voorhoeve, pr\u00e9sident de Volvo Trucks North America, \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie. Les dirigeants de Penske, Art Vallely, pr\u00e9sident de Penske Truck Leasing, et Paul Rosa, vice-pr\u00e9sident senior de l’approvisionnement et de la planification du parc chez Penske, ont accept\u00e9 la livraison des camions. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00ab Nous sommes extr\u00eamement fiers de la relation que nous avons avec Penske \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Voorhoeve. \u00ab Au cours des deux derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de leur livrer 25 000 camions pour leurs op\u00e9rations ici en Am\u00e9rique du Nord et nous sommes encourag\u00e9s par l’avenir avec Penske, car les deux entreprises sont passionn\u00e9es par la durabilit\u00e9 et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Penske a \u00e9t\u00e9 l’un des premiers \u00e0 adopter notre camion \u00e9lectrique Volvo VNR et a mis en service des camions du projet Volvo LIGHTS. Le camion n\u00b0 25 000 est un VNL300, \u00e9quip\u00e9 du moteur D13TC, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9 le 29 septembre 2022. Le moteur turbocompress\u00e9 est une pierre angulaire de l’avenir des centrales diesel de Volvo Trucks North America, con\u00e7u pour r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies de carburant et des r\u00e9ductions de CO2 sur une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 d’applications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En raison de l’attachement profond des deux entreprises \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, Penske a \u00e9galement \u00e9quip\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 2000 camions du syst\u00e8me Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS), une fonction qui utilise un moteur \u00e9lectrique au-dessus de l’appareil de direction hydraulique pour fournir un couple suppl\u00e9mentaire si n\u00e9cessaire. Le syst\u00e8me VDS re\u00e7oit des donn\u00e9es 2 000 fois par seconde gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des capteurs install\u00e9s sur le camion qui surveillent la vitesse de lacet, l’angle de braquage, la vitesse des roues et les actions du conducteur. Cela offre une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 accrue en cas de vent de travers, de freinage brusque, de voies in\u00e9gales, de collisions avec des nids de poule ou en cas de d\u00e9gonflement rapide des pneus ou de d\u00e9faillance des flancs. En plus de ses nombreuses caract\u00e9ristiques de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, le syst\u00e8me VDS offre une exp\u00e9rience de conduite globale plus confortable, car il n\u00e9cessite moins d’action sur la direction, en particulier \u00e0 faible vitesse, ce qui permet au conducteur d’\u00eatre moins fatigu\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n

Penske a \u00e9galement choisi d’\u00e9quiper un grand nombre de camions du syst\u00e8me enti\u00e8rement int\u00e9gr\u00e9 avec Apple CarPlay qui permet aux conducteurs d’utiliser en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 leurs applications de navigation pr\u00e9f\u00e9r\u00e9es, les appels mains libres et d’autres fonctions de productivit\u00e9 du conducteur tout en gardant les yeux sur la route et les mains sur le volant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
