C\u2019est \u00e0 l\u2019ouverture du Salon du v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique de Montr\u00e9al, le 22 avril, que NAPA lan\u00e7ait la banni\u00e8re NexDrive au Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L\u2019endroit \u00e9tait tout d\u00e9sign\u00e9 pour pr\u00e9senter \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 automobile ce programme de certification des ateliers du r\u00e9seau NAPA qui d\u00e9montrera leurs capacit\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9parer et entretenir les v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et hybrides. \u00ab Ainsi, explique Alain Masse, pr\u00e9sident de UAP dans un communiqu\u00e9 de presse, notre position de chef de file du march\u00e9 secondaire au Canada nous permettra d\u2019offrir une alternative de qualit\u00e9 aux concessionnaires d\u2019origine. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Afin de pouvoir d\u00e9ployer la banni\u00e8re NexDrive, un atelier devra avoir compl\u00e9t\u00e9 une formation accr\u00e9dit\u00e9e, poss\u00e9der l\u2019\u00e9quipement et les outils sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, respecter les normes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et r\u00e9pondre favorablement \u00e0 des audits r\u00e9guliers. Mentionnons qu\u2019au Qu\u00e9bec, la formation Comp\u00e9tences V\u00c9 sera la porte d\u2019entr\u00e9e \u00e0 la banni\u00e8re. Une formation inspir\u00e9e de celle du Qu\u00e9bec sera d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e prochainement dans le reste du Canada.<\/p>\n

Au moins un technicien et l\u2019aviseur technique devront avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s dans chaque atelier aspirant \u00e0 rejoindre cette nouvelle banni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Une inspiration qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Lors du point de presse, John O\u2019Dowd, vice-pr\u00e9sident marketing chez NAPA, a reconnu l\u2019importance de l\u2019initiative d\u2019Alain et Mathieu C\u00f4t\u00e9, propri\u00e9taires de Pi\u00e8ces d\u2019auto Alain C\u00f4t\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion de Qu\u00e9bec, qui ont lanc\u00e9 le programme M\u00e9canique Haute Tension en 2020, comme source d\u2019inspiration de NexDrive. \u00ab\u00a0Nous avons saisi leurs meilleures id\u00e9es pour cr\u00e9er une symbiose entre les magasins et les ateliers. Tout repose sur le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

M. O\u2019Dowd a en effet mentionn\u00e9 que l\u2019expertise en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9paration et d\u2019entretien de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques et hybrides doit \u00eatre partag\u00e9e avec tous les joueurs du r\u00e9seau. \u00ab Nous avons en effet des liens \u00e9troits avec les fournisseurs de pi\u00e8ces de remplacement et pouvons rester \u00e0 l\u2019aff\u00fbt des nouveaut\u00e9s pour partager l\u2019information avec nos membres. Les magasins de pi\u00e8ces devront aussi \u00eatre certifi\u00e9s afin de pouvoir approvisionner les ateliers NexDrive. Le support complet du r\u00e9seau NAPA Pi\u00e8ce d\u2019auto est essentiel \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite de ce projet. \u00bb Le r\u00e9seau comptera aussi des sp\u00e9cialistes dans ses centres d\u2019appels afin d\u2019\u00eatre en mesure de r\u00e9pondre aux questions des garagistes au besoin.<\/p>\n

Une couverture nationale<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Yves Racette, bien connu au Qu\u00e9bec pour son r\u00f4le pivot en tant que responsable du P\u00f4le d’expertise en v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques au CPCPA, a \u00e9t\u00e9 recrut\u00e9 par NAPA pour soutenir l\u2019expansion du programme NexDrive.<\/p>\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0, 11 ateliers qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois d\u00e9tiennent la certification alors que 14 sont engag\u00e9s dans le processus. Le d\u00e9ploiement au Qu\u00e9bec, o\u00f9 le march\u00e9 du v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique est florissant, se poursuivra toute l\u2019ann\u00e9e. D\u00e8s 2023, la structure pour d\u00e9velopper la certification NexDrive dans les autres provinces canadiennes permettra le recrutement d\u2019ateliers.<\/p>\n

La banni\u00e8re NexDrive compte d\u00e9j\u00e0 une centaine d\u2019ateliers en Europe o\u00f9 AAG, une filiale de Genuine Parts Company comme UAP, l\u2019a introduite en 2020.<\/p>\n
