Pour la premi\u00e8re fois en deux ans, les membres de l’association Women In Auto Care (WIAC) se sont rencontr\u00e9s en personne et ont pass\u00e9 trois jours \u00e0 Indianapolis pour renouer les liens. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Le th\u00e8me de la r\u00e9union \u00e9tait \u00ab Reconnecter, revitaliser \u00bb et la liste des conf\u00e9renci\u00e8res a bien rempli son mandat.<\/p>\n

Anne Coffin, directrice des technologies de l’information de l’Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, et Tara Topel, propri\u00e9taire de Topel’s Service Center, sont mont\u00e9es sur sc\u00e8ne pour \u00eatre reconnues respectivement comme Femme d’excellence et Propri\u00e9taire d’atelier de l’ann\u00e9e 2021. Chaque femme a parl\u00e9 de son parcours vers le leadership, de ses luttes et de ses r\u00e9alisations.<\/p>\n

La pr\u00e9sentation de Mme Coffin, intitul\u00e9e \u00ab The Long and Winding Road \u00bb (la route longue et sinueuse), a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 chaque \u00e9tape de son aventure. Elle a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 chaque opportunit\u00e9 par la ville o\u00f9 elle vivait \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque, les voitures qu’elle conduisait et, surtout, ce qui la motivait. Elle a encourag\u00e9 les spectatrices \u00e0 \u00ab suivre un chemin qui n’est jamais droit, et ce n’est pas grave… partagez votre voix, et sachez que vous avez gagn\u00e9 votre droit d’\u00eatre l\u00e0 \u00bb. Mme Coffin a conclu avec six le\u00e7ons de vie qu’elle a apprises en cours de route, notamment \u00ab tout le monde a une histoire \u2013 soyez gentil \u00bb et \u00ab les leaders sont des leaders parce que les gens les suivent \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Mme Topel a termin\u00e9 la journ\u00e9e du jeudi apr\u00e8s-midi par un voyage sur la route des briques jaunes. Les difficult\u00e9s rencontr\u00e9es par Tara en tant que jeune chef d’entreprise ont trouv\u00e9 un \u00e9cho aupr\u00e8s de nombreuses femmes pr\u00e9sentes dans la salle. Mme Topel et son mari sont des propri\u00e9taires d’entreprise de deuxi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration et ont entrepris un projet de construction massif \u00e0 l’automne 2019. L’entrepreneure a parl\u00e9 des difficult\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 l’expansion d’une entreprise pendant la pand\u00e9mie, de la perte de leur coach d’affaires bien-aim\u00e9, Bob Greenwood, et de l’espoir in\u00e9branlable de \u00ab saisir les opportunit\u00e9s aujourd’hui, et non \u00ab\u00a0un jour\u00a0\u00bb \u00bb. Mme Topel a utilis\u00e9 le th\u00e8me du Magicien d’Oz tout au long de sa pr\u00e9sentation et a conclu en rappelant aux participants que, comme Doroth\u00e9e, \u00ab vous avez toujours eu le courage en vous \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Les deux femmes ont rendu hommage \u00e0 la Women In Auto Care Association pour leur d\u00e9veloppement, leur force et leur engagement envers le march\u00e9 secondaire de l’automobile. Les participantes de l’Alliance incluaient \u00e9galement : Nikki Paschall et Barbara Henry (Alliance HQ), Felisha VanderPol et Allison Kazmerski (Auto-Wares), Melissa Howard (Carparts) et Jennifer Vitaro (Hahn Automotive). Mmes Howard et Vitaro font \u00e9galement partie du comit\u00e9 des ventes et du marketing de l’Alliance, tandis que Mme Topel aide \u00e0 guider le conseil consultatif des centres de services.<\/p>\n
