Ainsi, pour cr\u00e9er des emplois pour la classe moyenne et assurer la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 de notre \u00e9conomie au sein d\u2019un monde \u00e0 faibles \u00e9missions de carbone, le gouvernement attire au Canada des investissements internationaux cl\u00e9s qui vont favoriser l\u2019\u00e9tablissement d\u2019une cha\u00eene robuste d\u2019approvisionnement en batteries de v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques (VE).<\/p>\n<p>Le ministre de l\u2019Innovation, des Sciences et de l\u2019Industrie, l\u2019honorable Fran\u00e7ois-Philippe Champagne, le premier ministre de l\u2019Ontario, l\u2019honorable Doug Ford, et le maire de Windsor, Drew Dilkens, ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui se r\u00e9jouir de l\u2019investissement majeur effectu\u00e9 par LG Energy Solution (anglais) et Stellantis N.V. (anglais) pour mettre en \u0153uvre une initiative conjointe au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>LG Energy Solutions est une entreprise de fabrication de batteries de renomm\u00e9e mondiale, et Stellantis est un fabricant de v\u00e9hicules. Les deux entreprises vont investir au total plus de 5 milliards CAD (4,1 milliards USD) pour construire une usine de fabrication de batteries de VE au pays. Le Canada va ainsi devenir un chef de file mondial de la cha\u00eene d\u2019approvisionnement du secteur de la fabrication de V\u00c9. L\u2019usine de fabrication de batteries sera situ\u00e9e \u00e0 Windsor, en Ontario. Elle approvisionnera les usines de Stellantis \u00e0 Windsor et dans toute l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du Nord. L\u2019installation entrera en activit\u00e9 d\u2019ici 2025.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Collaboration<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Le gouvernement du Canada a travaill\u00e9 en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les deux entreprises pour que cet investissement voie le jour. Ce projet est tout \u00e0 fait conforme \u00e0 la volont\u00e9 du gouvernement de d\u00e9velopper un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me canadien de fabrication de batteries capable d\u2019appuyer les technologies propres et la transformation industrielle. L\u2019annonce d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui est un pas de plus vers l\u2019avant \u00e0 cet \u00e9gard.
