Elle organise le salon SEMA \u00e0 Las Vegas et son \u00e9quipe produit des rapports sur l\u2019\u00e9tat du march\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Sa plus r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude Les tendances de l\u2019avenir, indique que plus de 80\u00a0% des entreprises du secteur ont enregistr\u00e9 un impact n\u00e9gatif mod\u00e9r\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u00e9v\u00e8re sur leurs ventes en 2021 \u00e0 cause des probl\u00e8mes d\u2019approvisionnement, des retards et de la hausse des prix.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins, 2021 aura \u00e9t\u00e9 une ann\u00e9e positive soutenue par une hausse de la demande comparativement \u00e0 l\u2019ann\u00e9e ant\u00e9rieure. Certains fournisseurs auraient m\u00eame enregistr\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats historiques.<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport de la SEMA pr\u00e9dit que la croissance devrait se poursuivre en 2022, mais \u00e0 un rythme plus mod\u00e9r\u00e9. En fait, l\u2019association mentionne que 74 % de ses membres pr\u00e9voient une hausse de leurs ventes en 2022. Ils demeurent quand m\u00eame prudents \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re des probl\u00e8mes d\u2019approvisionnement, de la l\u00e9thargie de la vente de v\u00e9hicules neufs comme d\u2019occasion et de la hausse des prix des pi\u00e8ces et composantes. Selon la SEMA, les plus importants probl\u00e8mes d\u2019approvisionnement seraient histoire du pass\u00e9 et que la situation devrait renouer avec la normalit\u00e9 d\u2019ici la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e en cours.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Des prix qui restent \u00e9lev\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Toutefois, l\u2019association consid\u00e8re que les prix des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et des composantes entrant dans la fabrication des \u00e9quipements sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s vont rester \u00e9lev\u00e9s au moins jusqu\u2019en 2023. Elle explique ce pronostic par la forte hausse des frais de transport, notamment le co\u00fbt d\u2019un conteneur maritime qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 multipli\u00e9 par quatre en comparaison d\u2019octobre 2019 et l\u2019augmentation du prix des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res, comme l\u2019acier dont le prix a plus que doubl\u00e9 durant la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode.<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport indique que le secteur automobile am\u00e9ricain s\u2019est bien sorti de la crise alors qu\u2019il n\u2019enregistrait qu\u2019une perte de 4\u00a0% des emplois depuis f\u00e9vrier 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Une des grandes conclusions de cette \u00e9tude souligne que les divers programmes de soutien financier gouvernementaux, aux \u00c9tats-Unis comme ici au Canada, ont permis aux consommateurs d\u2019augmenter leurs \u00e9conomies. La raret\u00e9 des v\u00e9hicules disponibles et la hausse du prix des v\u00e9hicules d\u2019occasion poussent les automobilistes \u00e0 conserver leur voiture plus longtemps.
