Si l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2020 affichait une offre int\u00e9ressante, mais des consommateurs frileux, l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2021 aura \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par une forte demande p\u00e9nalis\u00e9e par la pauvret\u00e9 des inventaires.<\/p>\n<p>Pourtant le printemps 2021 affichait des indices prometteurs avec un premier trimestre soutenu par des livraisons annualis\u00e9es de 1,92 million d\u2019unit\u00e9s, en se basant sur les pronostics du mois de mars. Cependant, cette envol\u00e9e de vente a \u00e9t\u00e9 plomb\u00e9e par le probl\u00e8me des semi-conducteurs qui n\u2019ont pu trouver leur chemin jusqu\u2019aux cha\u00eenes d\u2019assemblage. Il s\u2019agit en fait d\u2019un recul de 19,6 %.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cette ann\u00e9e atypique, c\u2019est le constructeur Ford qui a livr\u00e9 au Canada le plus de v\u00e9hicules l\u00e9gers (234 000), suivi de GM (217 000) et de Toyota (199 000). D\u2019ailleurs, les camions l\u00e9gers ont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en 2021 81,2 % des ventes, d\u00e9passant la barre des 80 % pour la premi\u00e8re fois. Ce pourcentage \u00e9tait de 79,9 en 2020.
