Le constructeur vient de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9Ycr3vyRPBI\">pr\u00e9senter le prototype<\/a> en grande premi\u00e8re mondiale au Consumer Electronics Show \u00e0 Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Comment \u00e7a fonctionne ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Cette technologie a \u00e9t\u00e9 baptis\u00e9e \u00ab\u00a0E ink\u00a0\u00bb. Le principe est le m\u00eame que la technologie de coloration \u00e9lectrophor\u00e9tique qui est utilis\u00e9e pour les liseuses \u00e9lectroniques. Des millions de capsules pas plus grosses que la taille d\u2019un cheveu humain sont \u00ab\u00a0tiss\u00e9es\u00a0\u00bb sur les panneaux ext\u00e9rieurs du v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>Chacune contient un pigment blanc charg\u00e9 positivement et un pigment noir charg\u00e9 n\u00e9gativement. Lorsqu\u2019une charge \u00e9lectrique est appliqu\u00e9e sur les capsules, l\u2019un ou l\u2019autre des pigments est amen\u00e9 \u00e0 la surface, ce qui entra\u00eene un changement de couleur imm\u00e9diat. Fait \u00e0 noter, il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire de continuer \u00e0 appliquer la charge \u00e9lectrique pour maintenir le changement.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Repousser les limites de la personnalisation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Pour le moment, il est seulement possible de changer du blanc au gris et au noir. Cependant BMW travaille d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9gration d\u2019autres couleurs au syst\u00e8me. La technologie num\u00e9rique pourrait permettre une personnalisation sans fin de l\u2019aspect ext\u00e9rieur d\u2019un v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>Le constructeur indique que \u00ab\u00a0cela donne au conducteur la libert\u00e9 d\u2019exprimer diff\u00e9rentes facettes de sa personnalit\u00e9 ou encore son plaisir de changer l\u2019aspect ext\u00e9rieur de son v\u00e9hicule, et de le red\u00e9finir chaque fois qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;assoit dans sa voiture.\u00a0\u00bb Stella Clarke, qui dirige le projet, pense que \u00ab\u00a0comme la mode ou les statuts sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, le v\u00e9hicule devient alors l&rsquo;expression d&rsquo;humeurs et de circonstances diff\u00e9rentes dans la vie quotidienne.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u00c9conomies d\u2019\u00e9nergie<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La technologie permet \u00e9galement de r\u00e9aliser des \u00e9conomies d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Dans des conditions chaudes et ensoleill\u00e9es par exemple, la couleur ext\u00e9rieure s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9e pourrait \u00eatre le blanc. Le blanc repousse l\u2019\u00e9nergie du soleil ce qui permet de refroidir la surface et diminuer l\u2019utilisation du climatiseur.<\/p>\n<p>En revanche, dans un climat hivernal, le noir serait id\u00e9al, car il absorbe la chaleur du soleil et permettrait de r\u00e9chauffer le v\u00e9hicule et ainsi r\u00e9duire l\u2019utilisation du syst\u00e8me de chauffage. Pour un v\u00e9hicule \u00e9lectrique, ces \u00e9conomies d\u2019\u00e9nergie peuvent se traduire par une plus grande autonomie dans des conditions extr\u00eames.<\/p>\n<p>On \u00e9tudie m\u00eame la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019utiliser cette technologie pour des sections dans l\u2019habitacle. Un bon exemple est le tableau de bord.
