Avec la raret\u00e9 de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre, l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019offrir un coffre de d\u00e9marrage aux nouveaux techniciens fait son chemin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

L\u2019id\u00e9e n\u2019est pas nouvelle et a fait l\u2019objet de bien des discussions au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es\u00a0: donner acc\u00e8s aux nouveaux techniciens entrant en atelier \u00e0 un coffre de d\u00e9part pour les encourager \u00e0 choisir une carri\u00e8re dans le march\u00e9 secondaire automobile.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0L\u2019opinion \u00e0 ce sujet \u00e9volue, constate Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Champagne, pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019AIA Canada. Les gestionnaires r\u00e9alisent que dans un contexte de raret\u00e9 de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre, il faut se rendre attrayants. Il y a une pression du march\u00e9 alors que les ateliers n\u2019arrivent pas \u00e0 trouver les travailleurs dont ils ont besoin pour r\u00e9parer les voitures. D\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9, les op\u00e9rateurs viennent de passer \u00e0 travers une crise importante qui a mis de c\u00f4t\u00e9 plusieurs projets. Ceci \u00e9tant dit, il faudrait aller plus vite. Notons que les ateliers fournissent d\u00e9j\u00e0 plus d\u2019outils que l\u2019on pense, notamment pour les \u00e9quipements sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s et de diagnostic.\u00a0Et s\u2019il existe des initiatives locales, il faut mieux coordonner les efforts.\u00a0Chose certaine, le coffre de d\u00e9part, c\u2019est quelque chose que nous recommandons.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

M\u00eame son de cloche \u00e0 la division du Qu\u00e9bec de l\u2019AIA o\u00f9 le pr\u00e9sident Patrick Saint-Pierre est impliqu\u00e9 de longue date dans les op\u00e9rations visant \u00e0 attirer la rel\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0C\u2019est une id\u00e9e tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressante. Un atelier pourrait tr\u00e8s bien donner acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un coffre \u00e0 un nouveau technicien finissant s\u2019entendant avec lui qu\u2019il lui appartienne en propre apr\u00e8s deux ou trois ans au sein de l\u2019entreprise, par exemple.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Une approche structur\u00e9e<\/strong><\/h2>\n

M\u00e9lanie Desharnais, vice-pr\u00e9sidente de Desharnais Pneus et m\u00e9canique, a d\u2019ailleurs mis en place dans ses ateliers une approche d\u2019accompagnement toute simple.<\/p>\n

Les nouveaux techniciens ont acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un kit de d\u00e9part, s\u2019ils n\u2019arrivent pas avec leurs propres outils. Ils devront remettre au prochain ces outils de base lors de leur d\u00e9part.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les m\u00e9canos arrivent habituellement avec leurs outils de base, constate Mme Desharnais. N\u00e9anmoins, nous les d\u00e9pannons s\u2019ils en ont besoin. C\u2019est \u00e9videmment plus fr\u00e9quent du c\u00f4t\u00e9 des travailleurs saisonniers dans le secteur pneu.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

La vice-pr\u00e9sidente de Desharnais Pneus et m\u00e9canique souligne aussi que l\u2019entreprise fournit beaucoup d\u2019outils et d\u2019appareils partag\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0On ne parle pas d\u2019un ensemble de tournevis et d\u2019un jeu de douilles ici, mais des \u00e9quipements sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s et appareils dispendieux que nous devons r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement remplacer pour nous maintenir \u00e0 niveau.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

L\u2019entreprise a par ailleurs mis en place un programme sp\u00e9cifiquement pour les techniciens qui veulent graduellement enrichir leurs coffres personnels.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous savons que certains m\u00e9caniciens aiment avoir leurs propres outils et que leur coffre est en perp\u00e9tuelle \u00e9volution, explique Mme Desharnais. Pour les aider, nous leur offrons une possibilit\u00e9 de financement, sans int\u00e9r\u00eat, avec des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements directement sur leur paie pour l\u2019achat d\u2019outils. Dans certains cas, nous pouvons leur faire profiter des rabais que nous offrent des fournisseurs. Ce n\u2019est qu\u2019une fois le pr\u00eat rembours\u00e9 que nous voyons ensemble s\u2019ils veulent faire d\u2019autres achats.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Le grand avantage de cette pratique est que le pr\u00eat est limit\u00e9 \u00e0 quelques centaines de dollars \u00e0 la fois, \u00e9vitant au jeune technicien de s\u2019endetter lourdement en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

L\u2019autre aspect positif est que ce pr\u00eat est sans int\u00e9r\u00eat.<\/p>\n

Cette approche permet aussi de voir quels outils sont en forte demande et si l\u2019entreprise ne devrait pas les acqu\u00e9rir et les offrir en partage.<\/p>\n

Partie d\u2019un ensemble<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ga\u00e9tan Delisle, vice-pr\u00e9sident r\u00e9gional des ventes pour la division camions lourds TruckPro de UAP\/NAPA, qui compte 140 ateliers au Canada, est particuli\u00e8rement sensible \u00e0 cet enjeu qui va, selon lui, au-del\u00e0 des outils.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Que ce soit pour la m\u00e9canique automobile ou de camions lourds, il y a de plus en plus d\u2019efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour trouver et conserver les techniciens dont nous avons besoin. Le recrutement international est maintenant \u00e0 l\u2019agenda. Chose certaine, trouver les ressources dont nous avons besoin est difficile.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Pour M. Delisle, offrir le coffre \u00e0 outils de d\u00e9part, qui se chiffre rapidement au-del\u00e0 de 2000 dollars, est une id\u00e9e consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par plusieurs ateliers et il note des initiatives locales.<\/p>\n

Des bourses aux \u00e9tudiants, l\u2019offre de stage ou encore des cartes cadeaux pour l\u2019achat d\u2019outils dans un des magasins du r\u00e9seau sont des pratiques qui se r\u00e9pandent.<\/p>\n

L\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019\u00e9tablir un programme de soutien pour l\u2019ensemble du r\u00e9seau fait son chemin.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Il faut toutefois regarder l\u2019offre dans son ensemble, insiste-t-il. Le coffre est un des \u00e9l\u00e9ments dans l\u2019\u00e9quation. L\u2019atelier doit offrir une r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration comp\u00e9titive et des avantages sociaux int\u00e9ressants. La pand\u00e9mie nous a aussi d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les gens veulent travailler \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de la maison. \u00c0 ce chapitre, \u00eatre sensible dans la mesure du possible, \u00e0 la conciliation travail et famille est une approche tout aussi importante que d\u2019offrir un coffre d\u2019outils.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
