O\u00f9 est le probl\u00e8me\u00a0?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/autosphere.ca\/fr\/pneus\/2021\/10\/08\/la-capteur-de-pression-tpms-le-capteur-de-lavenir\/\">Les capteurs de pression des pneus<\/a> mont\u00e9s sur les voitures de vos clients sont des \u00e9quipements de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 qui, s\u2019ils ne sont pas obligatoires au Canada, le sont aux \u00c9tats-Unis et un peu partout dans le monde, notamment en Chine.<\/p>\n<p>Une perte de pression dans un pneu peut entra\u00eener, dans le pire des cas, une perte de contr\u00f4le, mais plus fr\u00e9quemment, une usure in\u00e9gale et pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e des pneus.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame si tous les automobilistes le comprennent, plusieurs d\u2019entre eux ne r\u00e9agiront tout simplement pas \u00e0 ce voyant qui brille soudainement sous leurs yeux.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Les gens sous-estiment l\u2019importance de ce syst\u00e8me, souligne Alexandre McCabe, conseiller aux op\u00e9rations r\u00e9seau chez Point S. Aux \u00c9tats-Unis, il est reconnu comme un syst\u00e8me de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 au m\u00eame chapitre que la ceinture de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Un atelier qui les enl\u00e8verait \u00e0 la demande d\u2019un client pourrait se faire poursuivre.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Informer le client<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Tous nos experts mart\u00e8lent le fait que le centre de pneus devrait bien informer son client de l\u2019importance d\u2019agir rapidement quand le TPMS se d\u00e9clenche, m\u00eame s\u2019il peut s\u2019agir, comme l\u2019explique le conseiller technique Serge Desjardins de Les \u00c9quipements Qu\u00e9-Mont, d\u2019une d\u00e9faillance du capteur.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Avec la p\u00e9riode de changement de temp\u00e9ratures, il arrive qu\u2019un capteur dont la batterie est en fin de vie lance le signal d\u2019anomalie dans le tableau de bord au d\u00e9marrage le matin avant de s\u2019effacer, quelques minutes plus tard, quand le roulement et la chaleur grimpante redonnent un second souffle \u00e0 la batterie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Selon lui, un TPMS devrait rendre l\u2019\u00e2me \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de six ou sept ans, un peu plus rapidement en cas de fort kilom\u00e9trage.<\/p>\n<p>Bref, quand le voyant s\u2019illumine, l\u2019automobiliste devrait rapidement se garer pour v\u00e9rifier s\u2019il ne s\u2019agit pas d\u2019une crevaison exigeant l\u2019immobilisation du v\u00e9hicule en attendant d\u2019installer la roue de secours ou l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de la d\u00e9panneuse.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Rouler sur un pneu insuffisamment gonfl\u00e9 va en augmenter la chaleur interne ce qui va endommager les composantes internes et le caoutchouc, explique Andrew Decker, ing\u00e9nieur de projet chez Bridgestone Americas. Les dommages de cette nature ne sont pas n\u00e9cessairement d\u00e9celables \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il nu et le pneu va se d\u00e9grader pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment. \u00bb<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Les sources possibles<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Comme le r\u00e9sume Alexandre McCabe, plus le client va attendre et plus les dommages seront graves.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Une fois \u00e0 l\u2019atelier, il faut d\u00e9terminer si la cause de l\u2019alerte n\u2019est pas justement le TPMS en fin de vie. Sinon, le truc du savon liquide vaporis\u00e9 sur la surface du pneu devrait indiquer si la fuite provient d\u2019une crevaison, d\u2019une valve mal ajust\u00e9e ou d\u2019un jeu entre la jante et le talon du pneu.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>La jante attaqu\u00e9e par une corrosion fr\u00e9quente dans nos conditions climatiques doit \u00eatre sabl\u00e9e et scell\u00e9e avant d\u2019\u00eatre r\u00e9install\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Il recommande le d\u00e9montage du pneu avant sa r\u00e9paration, car la pr\u00e9sence de poudre noire \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur va trahir un pneu qui a roul\u00e9 sous faible pression et dont la structure des flancs risque d\u2019\u00eatre irr\u00e9m\u00e9diablement ab\u00eem\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Et si le pneu peut \u00eatre r\u00e9par\u00e9, M. McCabe recommande aux techniciens de suivre attentivement les processus des fabricants.<\/p>\n<p>Certains fabricants de pneus vont ainsi inviter les sp\u00e9cialistes \u00e0 dire \u00e0 leurs clients que la cote de vitesse du pneu r\u00e9par\u00e9 est r\u00e9duite de tant de kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Chaque cas est unique\u00a0\u00bb, r\u00e9sume-t-il.<\/p>\n<p>Comme le rappelle d\u2019ailleurs M. Decker de Bridgestone, un pneu va naturellement perdre un ou deux PSI mensuellement, un peu plus lors des changements de temp\u00e9rature.<\/p>\n<p>Et les automobilistes n\u2019y portent gu\u00e8re attention.<\/p>\n<p>Heureusement pour eux, le TPMS veille et d\u00e8s qu\u2019il manque entre 20 et 25\u00a0% de la pression recommand\u00e9e (selon les constructeurs), une note d\u2019avertissement visuelle va appara\u00eetre dans le tableau de bord.<\/p>\n<p>Ce dernier indique que tous les centres de pneus devraient avoir en main le guide de l\u2019association des fabricants de pneus am\u00e9ricains (USTMA Guidelines) qui donne tous les d\u00e9tails des r\u00e9parations possibles.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est un document important \u00e0 avoir en main quand on doit annoncer au client qu\u2019on ne peut r\u00e9parer son pneu et qu\u2019il devra en acheter un neuf.<\/p>\n<p>Alexandre McCabe dit qu\u2019en l\u2019absence de ce document de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, les directives du fabricant du pneu font le travail.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>En bref<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Informer le client du r\u00f4le et de l\u2019utilit\u00e9 du capteur de pression et du signal qu\u2019il peut partager avec lui est important.<\/p>\n<p>Cela pourrait aussi justifier l\u2019installation de TPMS sur le deuxi\u00e8me ensemble de roues, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant, pour plus de tranquillit\u00e9 d\u2019esprit.<\/p>\n<p>Le voyant peut vouloir dire simplement que le capteur est en fin de vie et doit \u00eatre remplac\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Si la perte de pression est r\u00e9elle, il faut en identifier la cause.<\/p>\n<p>Et s\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une crevaison, il est tr\u00e8s important d\u2019appliquer les bonnes pratiques de r\u00e9paration, c\u2019est avant tout une question de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L\u2019indicateur TPMS s\u2019allume dans le tableau de bord du client.
