PHOTO NAPA<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Selon lui, une bonne inspection devrait inclure la v\u00e9rification de toutes les pi\u00e8ces de suspensions, surtout celles qui ne sont pas apparentes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Avec l\u2019introduction de l\u2019inspection avec tablette num\u00e9rique, nous appuyons une d\u00e9marche syst\u00e9matique, car toutes les pi\u00e8ces sont reli\u00e9es.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le garagiste Jean Bouchard de NAPA AUTOPRO Boucherville va dans la m\u00eame direction.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Une bonne inspection va faire la diff\u00e9rence quand l\u2019usure n\u2019est pas perceptible par le conducteur, t\u00e9moigne-t-il. L\u2019id\u00e9e c\u2019est d\u2019informer le client. PHOTO KYB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Il recommande son inspection rigoureuse, mais insiste sur le fait qu\u2019une bonne approche compl\u00e9mentaire demeure l\u2019essai routier.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Plus un technicien va faire d\u2019essais sur le m\u00eame type de v\u00e9hicules, et plus il pourra comparer les diff\u00e9rences et les expliquer \u00e0 son client. Il pourra aussi d\u00e9celer rapidement les probl\u00e8mes r\u00e9currents sur telle ou telle marque ou mod\u00e8le.\u00a0\u00bb, r\u00e9sume-t-il.<\/p>\n<p>Il mentionne aussi la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019un diagnostic global, puisqu\u2019il d\u00e9nombre sous la voiture une cinquantaine de pi\u00e8ces interreli\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Et une pi\u00e8ce n\u00e9glig\u00e9e peut entra\u00eener l\u2019usure pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e d\u2019une autre pi\u00e8ce plus co\u00fbteuse, ou encore, celle des pneus.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Pour Kashif Rizvi, directeur du service technique chez ZF Aftermarket, une bonne strat\u00e9gie est de valider la suspension annuellement en m\u00eame temps que la v\u00e9rification de l\u2019alignement.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Si l\u2019alignement est dans les normes, mais que l&rsquo;onconstate une usure anormale ou in\u00e9gale des pneus, c\u2019est un indice fiable qu\u2019il y a un probl\u00e8me dans la suspension. C\u2019est une bonne approche compl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 l\u2019inspection qui doit v\u00e9rifier s\u2019il y a un jeu dans les rotules et les coussinets, des fuites ou des grincements indiquant que les pi\u00e8ces sont \u00e0 leur limite et repr\u00e9sentent un risque.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h2><strong>S\u00e9curit\u00e9<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ceci \u00e9tant dit, il ne faut pas alarmer inutilement le client, mais nos experts s\u2019entendent sur l\u2019impact de la suspension sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0La suspension c\u2019est ce qui tient le v\u00e9hicule au sol, r\u00e9sume Victor Moreira, directeur de l\u2019assistance technique pour Mevotech. On parle de confort, \u00e9videmment, mais aussi d\u2019un v\u00e9hicule dont la stabilit\u00e9 et m\u00eame la distance de freinage sont tributaires de la qualit\u00e9 de la suspension. PHOTO Mevotech<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u00ab Si la suspension est finie \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re, il y a de bonnes chances qu\u2019elle le soit en avant. Je recommande de faire un essai routier apr\u00e8s les travaux pour vous assurer que tout est impeccable. Et \u00e9vitez de proposer \u00e0 votre client des produits bas de gamme. Il faut que le consommateur sente la diff\u00e9rence lorsqu\u2019il va reprendre la route et retrouve, en quelque sorte, l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de confort et de contr\u00f4le qu\u2019il a connu \u00e0 l\u2019origine.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Savoir si le client veut conserver sa voiture longtemps est aussi une question \u00e0 poser avant de lui proposer la bonne gamme de produits.<\/p>\n<p>Mentionnons aussi au passage qu\u2019avec la multiplication des syst\u00e8mes avanc\u00e9s d\u2019aide \u00e0 la conduite, l\u2019affaissement ou le d\u00e9balancement de la voiture peuvent avoir un impact sur la pr\u00e9cision de certains syst\u00e8mes, notamment les freins ABS et les contr\u00f4les automatiques de stabilit\u00e9 ou de maintien de voie.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Conna\u00eetre son client<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Aaron M. Shaffer de KYB souligne un \u00e9l\u00e9ment int\u00e9ressant.<\/p>\n<p>Prendre le temps de poser des questions aux clients permet de comprendre l\u2019usage qu\u2019ils font de leur v\u00e9hicule.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0On r\u00e9alise souvent que ces v\u00e9hicules, notamment les VUS pleine grandeur ou les camionnettes, sont utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 la limite de leur charge. Ces v\u00e9hicules tirent des remorques ou transportent des mat\u00e9riaux lourds.
