Adams, pr\u00e9sident des Constructeurs mondiaux d\u2019automobiles du Canada, en est le premier surpris.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Nous \u00e9tions optimistes et confiants en la reprise du march\u00e9, mais pas \u00e0 ce point, explique-t-il. Et les r\u00e9sultats auraient certainement \u00e9t\u00e9 encore meilleurs, n\u2019eussent \u00e9t\u00e9 certains manques dans les inventaires, notamment provoqu\u00e9s par la p\u00e9nurie de puces \u00e9lectroniques qui touche notre industrie.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Le rapport des Constructeurs mondiaux d\u2019automobiles du Canada indique qu\u2019au deuxi\u00e8me trimestre de 2021, les ventes de v\u00e9hicules l\u00e9gers neufs fabriqu\u00e9s par les membres de cette association ont connu une progression globale de 68,7\u00a0% comparativement aux r\u00e9sultats de la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode l\u2019an dernier.<\/p>\n<p>Si l\u2019on compare le d\u00e9but de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2021 \u00e0 celui de 2020, on voit un rattrapage de 43.2\u00a0% des ventes de v\u00e9hicules l\u00e9gers au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019association repr\u00e9sente les constructeurs automobiles \u00e9trangers, qu\u2019ils aient ou non des usines au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Mais les tendances que souligne le plus r\u00e9cent rapport peuvent s\u2019appliquer \u00e0 l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019offre de v\u00e9hicules sur notre territoire.<\/p>\n<p>Car une des autres observations que l\u2019on peut tirer de ces statistiques est l\u2019\u00e9cart grandissant entre les ventes de voitures comparativement aux camions l\u00e9gers.<\/p>\n<p>En effet, le second trimestre 2021 indique une hausse de 49.3\u00a0% des ventes de voitures contre une augmentation de 78.1\u00a0% des livraisons de camionnettes, VUS et autres camions l\u00e9gers comparativement \u00e0 la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode l\u2019an pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Cette tendance n\u2019est pas nouvelle et s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8re depuis cinq ans, souligne \u00e0 Autosphere M.\u00a0Adams. C\u2019est un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne nord-am\u00e9ricain.
